    Which type of graphis card should i get?

    Hi guys,

    i'm going to buy a new laptop but i have no idea which one to go for in terms of vga's

    I know we shall not buy shared and integrated for gaming

    So theres dedicated and discrete video memory

    Which one should i go for?

    I have quoted it on the product specs

    # GRAPHICS - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 (512MB discrete video memory and up to 2302MB video memory with 4GB system RAM)


    # GRAPHICS - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 with 512MB graphics


    Which one should i get?

    What games are you playing?

    Do you know what type of memory does the GPU use? Usually it will say DDR2 or GDDR3. Not to be confused with system memory (DDR2 or DDR3).

    The links don't work for me but the HD 3650 is better than the HD 4530 (look at the 2nd digit, to see rank usually).

    For GPUs, GDDR3 is better than DDR2. For system memory, I prefer DDR2 since it is cheaper and equally as fast (system memory isn't bottlenecked unlike GPU and their dedicated memory).

    go with the toshiba my friend has it he plays most of his games at high/medium settings like fallout 3,mirror edge,call of duty 4 and so on. you wont be disappointed the other one has a weak gpu weaker than mine so i suggest u go with the toshiba and it will also depend on what kind of work your going to be doing............so yeah ...........................which ever one fits your budget.....................your call

    Choose the one with HD3650 thats a better card, I can max COD w@w at native res.
