It's an MMORPG that has to be played on Blizzard's servers. You must pay to play on those servers.

I don't think Blizzard supports playing the game on private servers. So a discussion on this isn't allowed by the forum rules as far as I know.

If you want to play it than go out and buy a copy of the game. Register an account and start playing.
The game is nothing like Warcraft III so I hope you know what you'll be getting into.

As for private servers, you have to go around and look for them.

As Thibault said, it is 'illegal', but if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Pardon me for jumping off the subject for a minute. I like your machine, did you get it from Dubai? I''m from Kuwait and visit Dubai once or twice a year.

Sorry, can't help you. If you are having problems with their server, ask them. Not us.

Irrelevant, if you don't like it, then so be it. No need to fume. $15 is pocket change per month, I really don't understand how people think it's a rip off.

Yes there are a lot of private servers out there. But Blizzard does not support these servers. It's against the Terms of Use of the game so it is illegal. Since it's illegal we cannot discuss it on these forums.
Ask the people in charge of the private server how to join. We can't help you with that.
If you have any gameplay questions or any legal questions regarding the game go ahead and ask.

How is that a rip off? I've quit WoW awhile ago but people who say 15$ a month is too much make me laugh.
Let's look at it this way:
Would you pay to go see a movie at a movie theater? Most people do. And people don't see anything wrong with that. So let's say it's 10$ for a movie ticket. For 10$ you get to watch a movie (let's say it's a 2 hour movie). So 5$/hour for some entertainment.
Now let's look at WoW. You pay 15$ a month. Now this all depends on how much you play per month. You pay about 0.50$ a day. Let's say you play 1 hour each day. You're paying 0.50$/hour for some entertainment. That's pretty cheap compared to seeing a movie. A lot of people play more than 1 hour each day.

It comes down to the fact that you're paying for a game, for some entertainment. It's really not that expensive. I'm sure you can save 0.50% each day.

    Agreed.

Ok WoW private servers totally rock and it is real easy to connect to one...(IF U HAVENT FIGURED OUT YET?!?!?)
All you have to do is change your "realmlist.wtf" file!
1st find the realmlist of the server u wanna connect to...
2nd go to "my computer" in start then go to drive c then program files then World of Warcraft! inside here find your "realmlist.wtf" folder and open it up in "notepad"
3rd change your "set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" to set realmlist (the realmlist you wanna connect to)
    4th save
5th statr WoW and PLAY ON A PRIVATE SERVER!!
and yes WoW is very fun and addicting but it is the best MMORPG that you can get out there!!
