Im curious to see how many people are crazy as I am and felt like a 10 year old kid and pre-orderd this game.

CE snitches!

Although I'm against Blizzard's money-grabbing decision to release SC2 as a trilogy I did throw some chump change onto a CE thru Gamestop. I never did get into the beta but I'm hoping the end result will be as enjoyable as when the first SC came out.
-
Kwantz, trust me you are not alone.
Although, really any game I play is just a time sink until diablo 3 comes out -

What about RealID? It applies to SC2 as well...
-
Isn't not pre-ordering and buying the game after release technically the same option? ._.
I'll just wait for the digital download version
-
Blizzard just retracted their plans to force people to use their real names on their forums, however, their real ID system is still intact. The Real ID system allows you to add people as Real ID friends and they see your real name whenever you log into a battle.net game instead of seeing their character name. You also get to do status updates which are super lame.
I might reconsider looking at SC2, I swore it off as soon as the news hit about Blizzard's changes to forum use. -
Pre-ordered at gamestop first day it was available, considered Collectors Edition like I have for virtually all Blizzard games. But looked at what it added and nothing of any real use to me.
The 27th can't get here soon enough! -
^ yeah nothing of real use to me, but it will be to SC2 and WoW geeks.. meaning $$$ lol
-
I am against pre-ordering on principle. I've been hurt too many times.
But short of some unforeseen programming disaster, I will buy it, probably on or just after release day. -
just curious, how have you been hurt by pre-ordering? I like to preorder for bonuses etc. Amazon's $20 back on future orders is awesome on many games. Beta keys, etc are nice pluses for only $5 down.

i have ce on preorder got a deal on it. only like $70 with free two night shipping.
-
Really? Nice deal! If i could have gotten a deal like that from Gamestop I would have gotten the CE for sure. But it being $99.99 before shipping........ya.
-
Was this the gamestop 25% off coupon that worked on pre-orders for awhile? I thought about it but passed at the time. Then later just pre-ordered from amazon with 10% off for $89.99 no tax and release date delivery via prime
-
I got the regular edition for $40 so that's why I did it. I figured price won't drop some time after release, and probably won't be able to get it less than $40 for some time even if some place did put it on sale.
-
Anyone know what kind of DRM this game will have? Is it like the first one where the game allow you to linked the key to your battle.net account and download the digital copy (no disc check)?
-
Okay, I haven't really been hurt, since I've been against pre-ordering from the start. I just can't bring myself to commit a substantial chunk of change on a product that hasn't had any reviews yet. Most games look great the week before they're released, but only a handful of them are actually great games worth paying sticker price for!
-
Not exactly sure about this but I think after you apply the cd-key to your battlenet account it's stuck to it (Unless you call blizzard for a transfer which they may do) and then you can download it off blizzard without the disc. You'll have to login once to battlenet ingame before you're able to access the game and it's map editor and after that, I think there's an offline mode somewhere o.o
That aside, EU's beta is back up
-
^ I read that only retail version will be available at first before digital downloads. But I'm sure it will be tied to your b.net account and ready to download sometime after the retail exclusivity.
-
i pre-ordered it, wont get to play it until i get back home mid June.....but oh well
-
not buying it..
