If you do not know what audiosurf is check out this link:
    http://www.audio-surf.com/
Also there are a bunch of youtube vids to check out as well. I believe the only way to get the game is on Steam and it is for like 10 bucks!

Anyways for those who played it, what do you guys think of it? I thought this was kind a game where I played for like 5 or 10 mins but I end up doing more that an hour, lol. I think it is the freedom of choosing your own music that makes this game addictive and plus all the different play modes. I wish rockband and guitar hero would allow me to pick my own songs...

So what song do you guys like playing audiosurf with?
As of lately I been playing Lily Allen - Friday Night and Da Rude - Sandstorm.

One of my friends at high school plays it. He has been talking to me about it in Physics class since like Tuesday lol. He really likes it and bought the full version off Steam.

    Got it
It keeps me going waiting for my alienware m15x BOOOO !
especially since my "trusty" acer is crashing on team fortress 2, I think I need a re-install but there is really no point considering the "imminent" new machine

Audio-Surf is what wipeout should have been like, can you imagine this being out on the amiga or st in the early 90's
they could have set up big machines in clubs and we would have all gone nuts to it :)

loving it, going through my back-catalogue finding songs that behave strangely

oddly enough if you put something slow on it picks up on something else and creates something dark and twisted :)

and not all fast house tunes go really quick

breakbeat is amazing the whole stop-start effect :)

I cannot recommend this game enough, its amazingly cheap and has longevity
its something you can return to when you have 3-6 mins to play a game :)

and there is the high score board and friends comparison pure genius :)

Awesome game, I actually got it yesterday after hearing about it on some Half Life forums. Interesting concept, and totally different from existing rhythmic based games. I intended to give it a try, but then ended up playing for about 3 hours ...

    I JUST bought this tonight.

This is some kind of insane.

I've found that pretty much anything by Icon of Coil or off of the "Mortal Kombat" soundtrack is gold on this game.

I dl'd the demo, after realizing I could play my own songs i was gonna save it to show my friends (you can only play 4 songs total) but i ended up using all of them :) It's crazy how it just makes the steps so fast (rock songs = bad idea for n00b) and i was kinda addicted..for ten minutes till the demo ran out. I love how you can see the top scores for the song you just played, these guys are good and it puts a much needed twist on rhythm games. Don't know if I want to pay 10 bucks for it though :\

    You're joking, right?

Ten bucks seems more than fair for a game like this. It's the price of a movie ticket for crying out loud.

Glad you guys bought it and those who haven't what are ya waiting for. For 10 that is a great deal right there. This game is fast for techno and rock and when I play hip hop with like medium speed. Also so what mode does everyone like to play? I love playing ninja mono or vegas.

    Tried it.liked it

Its a GOOD game not GREAT game....

The steps doesnt match the song correctly....

But nice after all....(good value for money+you get what you pay for)

I think if the user was the one who make the steps and share it with others, it would have been much better

like TAP TAP REVOLUTION on Iphone...

anyone know if its possible to map additional keys for the keyboard?

Most of the game modes emphasize the use of a mouse as you require the left and right clicks to perform actions. Id like to game with the keyboard with dedicated keys. Not using my touchpad keys.

Well you know you can use the arrow keys to move left and right, but I prefer the mouse since it is much quicker. Also, you can use your 360 controller.

Right..i understand that. But how about left and right clicking actions with the keyboard. What are the respective keys for those actions?
