Maybe we could all get together and play on the same server????

    Who's down?

None of my rl friends play it yet, so im pretty much the tester for them. If I like it, they will most likely buy it.

I havent made a char yet, just played the beta a few times.

Im playing on Marchutan and my name is Kanye =)

I'm waiting it out see what forums and friends say about it. Wasn't impressed with beta but I reserve judgment until it is finished and played a little more indepth. Main interest is PVE content though.

Very interested in it but slow internet pretty much forbids me from playing much. Although I'm going back to the UK for studies so internet there should be fast. The only thing is the cost... :/

Love playing. Wish I could play more, but coming home after work I have to immediately log in just to queue for 2+ hours. If I wait until after 6pm EST to queue, forget it.

I'll be playing, loved the Beta, even though I only hit level 15. I'll be on a Euro server though, considering I'll be in Germany 3 more years.

compared to wow, (which everyone likes to compare it to for some reason, but i like to compare it to aoc) it has better graphics, the melee is better, customize char is better, quests are more fun because you can choose your own story and there are cutscenes.

I like the assassin class more than wow rogue, mainly bc the NPC AI doesnt follow you around, so you can jump over them real quick and do a back slash for more dmg.

instead of flying mounts, you have wings and can pvp while flying.

i have only played the assassin class so far, and like it much.

Chain skills add more depth than WoW. Skills level up as you level up, so no need to purchase 2nd and 3rd level skills every level or so (you only have to buy new skills, and you can purchase them before you level up, so you can get the skills while you're out of town). Teleporters and flight paths. There appear to be more "useful" skills. I hit 15 on a templar and I already had almost 2 bars filled, and hotkeyed, while when I played WoW I used about 5 different skills.

You can't compare Aion with WOW thats like comparing.......Runescapes graphics to Aions.

What makes WOW is its Lore. The fact that most of the Aion characters start off in the same zone when you create a character says enough. No Lore no competition.

You might be asking "what does starting off have to do with it?"

Plenty, in wow every race has its own background, history what ever you wanna call it. As long as WoW has its Lore it wont be defeated.

I don't want to get started with game play, seeing as there's no competition. The fact that you can't even fish with a fish pole says enough. You use your hands to fish.

And finally graphics. Yes Aion's graphics are good. But With Good graphics theres one problem it cuts ur player base in half. You can minimize the graphics but the graphics is what has made Aion so popular.

The graphics in Wow arn't the newest but there slowly getting better as expansions come out. But WoW has about 11 million players and thats because you can play the game on a frigin 6 year old computer.

Anyways just some things you might wanna think of when you compare the two.

I play both of the games and I would like share with you my opinion, rivehn

World of Warcraft might have a nice lore but that is not what most of the players are playing it for in my experience of playing it for 5 years cause most of the players when you ask them about the lore they do not even know at least 1-10% of it and the bad thing about it is that Blizzard Entertainment changes the lore as much as they want and it has completely changed from what it was during Warcraft and (notice that I am not saying anything about continueing the lore, I am talking about changing it completely from what it was supposed to be) and that's what has had lots of the players that were playing for the lore extremely disappointed and you can see that in the official forums, in other forums, in youtube and other places

Aion having all of the Asmodians starting from their one location and all of the Elyos starting from their one location has nothing to do with not having a lore because it's part of the lore and I play the game for it's lore and I find the lore in Aion suiting me more than the one in World of Warcraft that is not like the one that I used to like during classical days before 3-4 years

There is competition in the lore and that is why I like the Aion lore more than the destroyed one of World of Warcraft and this has nothing to do with being defeated because every game is for it's own gamer

Both of the Elyos and Asmodians have their own lore just like all of the races in World of Warcraft but the lore maker/s of Aion just didn't want have more races in the game that would fit for the gamers and I prefer the game to have 2 races of Good and Evil instead of those many increasing by expansion in World of Warcraft

The way the game is played would depend on the (gamer) not the (game) because every gamer has his/her own taste and will be choosing between World of Warcraft and Aion according to his/her taste

There are good things in Aion that are not there in World of Warcraft but there are good things in World of Warcraft that are not there in Aion and there are bad things in both and only the gamer chooses which of them is more perfected for his/her taste

Personally, I prefer the graphics of Aion more than World of Warcraft and these are the reasons: I like the way the world has been designed more than that of World of Warcraft (The races, the creatures, the nature, the style etc) and I remember reading on the internet that Aion had won an award for having a beautiful world in it

The graphics are not the only thing that made Aion this popular, it's the ratings, the style (The Asian style like Final Fantasy), the customization options when creating your character (unlike the World of Warcraft that everyone looks the same you can now have your own completely unique look) and the many other things

The graphics in World of Warcraft was becoming better with each year but it definitely is still no matter what they do the colory cartoon rubber looking one and they'd have to re-create the whole game if they wanted to change the way it looks and that's something that I do not think would ever happen

You can play both of the games at their lowest power on most of the computers

I like both Aion and World of Warcraft and I am sorry for this but those were just things that I think you were not supposed to say against any of the games and I only heard of the news of World of Warcraft having 11 million players 2.5 years ago before when lots of players that I knew were playing had stopped playing and before when the realms were filled with players and now empty of players and when Aion and Warhammer Online were not there yet and only before news and rumors of World of Warcraft losing players started spreading and we can't count the amount of players by counting the amount of accounts that have been created for the game
