I know a lot of people that have pre-ordered this. Played it at E3 2010 ... it's very innovative. The teamwork aspect in the multiplayer is truly well done. There are tons of ways to complete objectives. Overall it is set to be one of the better games of 2011. I'll be interested to see you guy's thoughts.

The single-player story line is pretty interesting too.

Config file is found on my machine here

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\42820345\22350\local\base\brinkconfig.cfg.

Config looks like Crysis and/or Homefront

Says to create a autoexec to customize.

Well most of the reviews that I have seen average the game out to about a D+, C- (60-70) on a scale of 100. That's pretty bad. Also several of my friends bought it and so far they agree that it is average at best, FWIW.

Looks like I will be skipping this one. Don't need to spend more money on a mediocre console port.

I'm gonna wait it out. I will buy after....

    - More reviews (gameplay/video)
    - Some network bug fixes
    - It goes on sale

Was crossing my fingers for a game similar to borderlands, but I don't think this is the right direction I was looking for.

I read on Guru 3D forum people warn others to cancel the preorders.

    Apparently
    1. It is using only one card in crossfire
    2. Locked 30fps with vsync
    3. Laggy overall gaming experience

First Impressions with 1 hour of play:

Not so much enjoying it... The graphics are ok, but running it on low my framerate seem to stay below 30fps. Also, to do multiplayer you would have to start a single player mission and hopefully you get into a server that is playing the same mission as you. I tried numerous times to join someone and have only got 1 connection which then got disconnected after 20mins of playtime.

Will play more then update on see how it goes. This is turning out to be another Homefront for me...

Edit: So I found the server browser and can connect to random people.

Sounds allot like Crysis 2 launch to me. D:

But i think its sad this game is heading to the cave of "meh games", the devs really had a cool game idea.

Crysis 2 sucked on the PC. Brink looks like it's sucking on every system. Good thing I didn't preorder. I'm tired of getting short-changed by developers, especially on the PC platform (ahem Crysis 2 ahem).

turn off ambient occlusion if you have FPS problems, halved my FPS. Also on ATI/AMD cards there is a shadow problem. enable console and r_shadows 0 to improve FPS.

I enjoy objective based games, so I'm liking it thus far. Wolfenstein ET was fun too. Don't care about K/D, as I like being a medic. If you keep some of those in mind, then it's not bad. I figure network issues will be fixed. Hardly any game on release is connection issue free. BC2 had major problems for me, Black Ops, even Crysis 2 MP. So yeah I have hopes that part of the problem with be fixed. It's sad but a patch or two and I think some problems will go away.
