I'm really excited about the PC release of DMC4. Really loved 3 though I was too lazy to finish it since I got stuck in a puzzle. But I just wondered about your preferred controls for games like this. A controller or keyboard? I went through DMC3 with keyboard and did the demo with keyboard. If there is enough proof that a controller is better then a mouse, then I'll probably get a 360 controller instead of a G5.

i'm waiting for it by minuite.. it ran awesome. and i have some 10$ gamepad and the x360 gamepad, both run wonderfully!

EDIT: as an answer for your Question, in farther levels of games, when playing on dante, you'll definatly need a controler (unless you are soo good on keyboard) cause you'll need to change styles and weapons alot.

If you control the caméra I always like a mouse better (I can't play console FPS lol)

its an all keyboard thing. If it was an FPS, then there would be no question that mouse and keyboard is the way to go, but its 3rd person action/platform.

Practice more if you intend to go for the keyboard only, none of us here have any idea what Dante's control scheme is like on a keyboard and it's likely to be more complex than Nero's.

Might be a few buttons under WSAD devoted to styles with numbers 1-4 assigned to weapon selection.

lol same here. Got too lazy to finish DMC3 on PC and I played it using keyboard and my hands always hurts after playing it. >_< I bought a controller and played the DMC4 demo and it was much easier than playing on a keyboard. ;)

Haha, they're not alone, I gave up on DMC3 as well (some annoying boss fight I think).... I'll probably give it another shot in the future though.... thinking about getting an xbox 360 controller, but I was wondering, do they have playstation controllers out there for the PC (deep inside, I'm a sony fan at heart :p )

Isn't it basically some brother rivalry thing? Throw in a few battles, and... now you just have to tell me the ending and we're set. lol. Sorry, I see DMC mainly as an instant gratification game, not really for story. I mean, how to you explain the really random part where he jumps into the flying fish. That was just a WTF moment for me.

yeah, I'm using a PS1 adapter from my ddr set, and I found an old PS1 controller that I just used to play some arcade stuff. I'm dling the demo again (ran out of room on my HDD), I'll try it out.

Dude, this brother fight thing will reveal many stuff that randomly happen in DMC4. like the Yamato, the devil bringer, etc.
