    Why are the updates for some games not working?

    WHen I try to install updates it says the update is already installed. Is it something to do with vista 64 bit? And can i fix the problem?

    Are you sure you need the updates? The games you are mentioning are quite old so you might have bought the version than includes the updates. Then do you use any 'no-cd' exe or something similar like daemon tools, these things might not let you to install any updates. Are you sure you have bought the original games?
    The problem you have, I don't think it has to do with your laptop's specs.
    You might need to be more specific for each game.

    Yeah, I have Hitman blood money and I could patch to the latest. I doubt those games include all patches no matter when you bought them. YOur best shot is to uninstall and install again.
