I think it maybe has to do with it being too easy on PC and it would no longer be Metal Gear Solid but Easy Metal. I can imagine just how much easier it would be on PC. Shooting on PC is more accurate and better than even auto aim (which I don't use) and with more buttons on the keyboard it would be easier to perform different CQC takedown and other context appropriate situation with a touch of a finger instead of trying to figure it out.

Metal Gear Solid 1 had a PC release, but im guessing Sony showed Konami a big wallet with cash and then told them they could keep it IF they made the rest of the series Playstation friendly.

They did however release the special edition of MGS2 for Xbox1 and porting the HD remakes of MGS2 & MGS3 + PSP version of Metal Gear Solid to PS3 and Xbox 360.

Not any big news, we PC users have been a second class citizen for a long time now. D:

MGS and MGS2(Sons of Liberty) were actually released on PC and trust me they weren't Easy Metal... well mostly because horrible controls. Still, they were great games.

P.S. On my phone I have Sniper Wolf's picture as background.

Well, it's not Snake, but Raiden was a total BAMF in MGS4, so I'll make an exception. Plus, I like the demo of cutting watermelons. ^^

1 and 2 was released on the PC as stated above, you can play snake eater on the PC if you have the PS2 disc and use PCSX2 (PS2 Emulator)

Kojima is genius and this is my favorite series, owning :

    -MGS 1 black label
    -MGS2 sons o liberty & Substance
    - Twin Snakes
-MGS 3 snake eater and subsistance
    -Making of MGS2
    -MGS special
    _ MG Portable ops 1 & 2
    - VR missions
    - Metal Gear on nes with box and map
-Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2 dvd digital comic from jap

Biggest reason most games don't show up on pc is because these games sell sony consoles, and they wanted to keep it that way, I mean atleast 40% of people who bought a ps3 back in the day did so for mgs4.

Yeah Hideo Kojima did produce something special, i wouldn't say he was a genius tough, i'd say he was a talented story teller and director, it took more than just him and his ideas to develop the Metal Gear Series.

But yes, they are amazing games, and i did purchase a PS3 just for the MGS4, which i'm glad i've now got rid of (the PS3 that is) due to the fact Sony are money grabbing ********, and take away stuff from there customers illegally, but yeah, that's another story.

/Sometimes Sony/Microsoft ( for XBox 360) bribe game developers. You never know whats happening behind the scenes....
