    hi all
alienware have added a new laptop with 3870 crossfire
from what I understand is the 3870 mobile is = to the 9800m gt/gtx
The price difference is huge just makes me think is it a lesser card as there aren’t that many benchmarks around for it yet or have ATI done it so cheap to get back the market share

    Thanks

It's not super cheaper. It's just a bit cheaper. If you see what happened to the Radeon 4850 and 4870 on desktop, that should be the same thing on mobiles. Radeon are able to compete with nvidia now thanks to they're much lower pricing video cards. As for example, the 4870 cost like 150-200$ less than the GTX280 but only differs about 15-20% performance difference. Then they released this 4870 X2 which kills GTX280... I think radeon is going on budget performance mode =P

I think the ATI cards are usually a bit cheaper than the nVidia cards. I would'nt be too surprised if the price is that much lower. Im going to watch out for this one
