Just asking since the first one was such a big hit I was assuming this one was going to have a big hype but no body ever talked about it.. I need a good game to buy to play over summer so.. :) Looking for multiplayer games and I thought Red Faction Armaggedon could have been a good choice.

The re-invention of redfaction has been a flop, I didnt think the last one did very well either though to my knowledge, the deformation engine is def. interesting, More games should include environmental impact in game engines, breeds new strategy and gameplay mechanics. I also think the switch from first to third person really alienated alot of fans of the original.

The first Red Faction FPS was a great game, quite innovative with the destructible terrain. I believe people got a little peeved with subsequent releases as to the direction the developers took. The last one I played was on the Xbox 360. Gone to a third person perspective, wasn't a bad game, just the gameplay didn't seem to gel?

I'd say the game will sell well, just not upto the hype/marketing standards of COD, HALO etc.

In this gaming era of FPS if you don't standout either with huge marketing or exceptional/fresh gameplay it's hard to get a wholelot of attention these days.

Not true, all the sports games are best sellers and they are the exact same thing year to year. Besides the point there are third person shooter (socom 4, Starhawk, Uncharted, Metal Gear solid ) that sell incredibly well. And by now you all probably think im really biased for naming playstation titles but look at Resident evil and Gears of war, both over the shoulders 3rd person shooters that sold well. And how can any of us forget Mass effect 1 and 2 both best sellers. The gaming market is being flooded, investors and old white men or finding this market incredibly lucritive, their is money to be made in games now a days and the less you can do to gain a buck will be done, look at Cod/Madden series of games.
