Ive tried both the older and more recently released drivers fro the Nvidia Quadro 160 for my Latitude E6400 and I get the same response for both:

"Nvidia cannot find any drivers on your system that are compatible with this computer".

    What am I missing here?

Have you used driver cleaner to completely erase your old ones and do the device id's match? I suggest either using the Dell drivers or using the stock drivers on Nvid's site.

Not sure I know what driver cleaner is...
Was I not using the stock drivers on Nvidia site?

No, Nvidia now supports mobile GPU's without modding now.

Well the 179.48 clearly states that Dell Latitude series is not supported...

    Quote from Nvidia Site:
"This driver will install on the following GPUs with the exception of some notebooks listed below:

    Quadro NVS 510M
    Quadro NVS 300M
    Quadro NVS 160M
    Quadro NVS 150M
    Quadro NVS 135M
    Quadro NVS 130M

The following notebooks are not supported in this release:

    1. Dell Latitude notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
    2. HP Compaq notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
    3. Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
    4. Any notebook that is launched after the release date of this driver"

So for now is laptopvideo2go.com or you're stuck with Dell drivers...

I downloaded the driver and it extracted to one of my download folders.
    Thats all that happened.
    Anything else to do?

You also need to download the modded .inf file right where you downloaded the driver in laptopvideo2go.com... Those are exactly the same nvidia site drivers, but with the modded .inf file you're gonna be able to install them in non supported systems ;)
