I'm curious how well muiltiplayer works in both World in Conflict and Supreme Commander? Is the game hosted on a client's computer? Or is the game hosted on a server?

This is really important to me because of some of the problems I've ran into while playing Company of Heroes. It would seem like I could never find a good game under CoH because the people hosting it would always have something wrong with their computer or their connection. The only time I could get a good game going on CoH is when I was playing with someone I knew, and that didn't happen much.

I really do like playing RTS games, but I really prefer playing games with smooth online play. And so far that is FPS and MMO games. Yet, so far I'm only playing FPS because I don't have the money to spend on a MMO. I would like to play some RTS games online but I don't want to run into another CoH. It's lame that someone can't come up with a hosted RTS similar to Blizzard's Battle.net.

WiC has public servers. Generally I get a list of 200+ servers on multiplayer. There are clan servers and public servers as well as private servers (password protected).
Almost 99% of the games I've played in WiC have been smooth with no lag.
