    Hi,

When playing games online over wifi i find the games stuttering with no connection to the internet for a second or so because as far as i can see - the wireless link is renewing itself.

is there any way to stop this? U know wifi for gaming isnt ideal for speed but sometimes a wire isn't suitable.

    Thanks alot

Go to the properties of your wireless card, set everything there for maximum performance, and lock it into your router's transmit band. If you've got a B router then lock your wifi card on B. If you have G do the same. I've found my Intel 2915 will hunt for B, G, and A signals constantly which reduces performance. Locking it to the B band only solved all the lagging issues immediately.

Wireless is NOT bad, I get the same performance as a wired connection, you just need to make sure you are getting a decent connection and are using reliable hardware

I use a Netgear 54G router and my TM4402 to game wirelessly. I havent had a problem with it, my ping (on a good server on CS) is around 10-17.

    See attached image:

Click on the configure button next to the name of your wireless adapter, then there should be an advanced tab with more options
