I've been hearing good things about Wildstar recently (which is rare for a new MMO these days!). Has anyone here tried it out? What are your thoughts on it?

Well, the game don't bring any fancy new stuff to the genre but all i wanted was a fun MMO for me and my friends to play. Played a bunch of different MMO games since regular World of Warcraft (Did not bother with the expansion packs) like Guild Wars 1 & 2, TERA, Rift & various other F2P ones but im a person that would rather pay 1 fee and only that rather than getting stabbed in the wallet with microtransactions.
Rift was basically trying to be like WoW. Guild Wars did their own thing but im not a fan of the combat system in Guild Wars 2, seems to just make being a melee class more of a hassle. TERA was nice but i just cant stand the game art design as well as the european server provider being crap.

Playing WildStar its easy to notice the Carbine folks also worked on WoW, and thats okay with me. It features something for everyone with lots of PvE content even after hitting the lvl 50 cap and decent PvP content like 40vs40 warplots, battlegrounds ect. (Personally i dont care for PvP)
Next content update is planned on hitting in early July so gotta give props to that as well but for now i just gotta get the last 9 lvls done on my Granok warrior and start finding a guild i like for the 40 man raids. :D

Thanks DEagleson. I like your feedback!

I'm surprised more people here haven't tried WildStar. I thought the game was a bigger deal! It's definitely one of the few MMO's I've seen with good buzz surrounding it.

Personally, I still enjoy ESO, despite its criticisms.

I guess its because of both games needing a subscription, but il rather pay up for a sub than getting stabbed multiple times with microtransactions. xD
If there is one bad thing about WildStar then it would be that its region locked. US client needs a US key and EU client needs a EU key tho my canadian friend got NCSoft support to move his game to EU since he played EU servers in the beta.
