I'm thinking of getting a dell Inspiron E1505 laptop with 2.0GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 120GB HD, and the X1400 Hypermemory. I also wanted to play some games on it but i didn't know if this computer could run the gamers well.
GAMES:
1) Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War series
2) Warcraft 3
3) Age of Empires III
4) Rise of Legends: Rise of Nations
Could anyone please tell me if the X1400 can play these games well.

I've got X1300 Pro in my desktop and it performs quite smoothly in all those games at 1280x1024 in high details, so i think there should be no problem

runs cod2 nice... in dx7

Those games should all run pretty well on an x1400.
I can run pretty much all of those on high settings on my go 6600, and the x1400 is only a little bit weaker than that. -
I have nearly the exact same laptop (smaller hard drive is the only difference). I know for a fact the Both Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War and Warcraft 3 will play very well on the X1400. I own both of those games and they run very well.
I do not own nor have I played Age of Empires III and Rise of Legends, but I imagine that they should work fairly well.
Have Fun -
all these games will work...if a x200 can do it, x1400 will destroy it!

Hope this helps,

BigMac, I'd seriously considering waiting a couple of weeks for these new Dells.
I'm talking about the Inspiron 1520, which will have updated graphics that will EASILY handle the games you are talking about.
If you are in a hurry, I'd say that the x1400 would still indeed be capable of playing the games you listed...
Or you could wait a couple of weeks. -
My friend runs AOE3 on his 6400 quite well with high settings except for the water settings.

Get something a lil more powerful as u cant upgrade the gpu
-
Its really not a card worth getting at this point. Its being phased out on mainly all previous laptop models.

I would wait for the Inspiron refresh with the Santa Rosa platform.

Will Ati Radeon X1400 run these games well?
