    apparently the ps3 version of the game works in windows 7 (according to the site's picture)

    You could have a virtual machine with xp to run older games and avoid compability issues.

    world at war isn't old enough to have to worry about a virtual machine. virtual machines are great for games that have very low performance requirements and are very old. it would just get in the way of performance in this case.

    I had World at War installed on my Win 7 desktop in the past and had no problems with it.

    Most games that were made for Windows Vista will work without issues for the most part on Windows 7. World of War will work on Windows 7.

    yes it works, I have played it in win 7 HP, win 7 pro, win 2008 r2

    dont ask me why I have played so many times though, I dont know

    occasionally some games have compatibility issues with newer operating systems.

    although, as mentioned, it would be rare for it to work in Vista but not Win 7 (but of course, the OP may not have known this)

    If you have all the information, it's obvious that it would work, but with only partial information, it may be less obvious.
