    Hey.
Really been reading a lot about Fallout 3, and since its just a couple of days away from launch, I wanted to know how will it fare on my laptop?
    See sig for details.

    Also, what about Dead Space?

Those games will take up a lot of space, so be warned. But, they will definitely be able to play. If you put everything on low, you probably can get 25-30fps. So, you can probably play them at medium with a decent 15-20fps.

I'm not worried about the space, that I can manage somehow. I just wanna play the game at respectable frame rates and good visual quality.

At low settings you should be able to play just fine. Might need to lower your resolution, though.

I suggest putting the res on max and starting with everything else on complete low. Then, go up as you wish until you get a nice balance of quality and fps/

you did not just call 15-20fps "decent". you did not.

If it barely runs I think AA and high AF is out.

OP: if Oblivion ran OK on your machine F3 will too.

Oblivion ran great, almost every setting full and AA off.

Dead Space should run fairly well. Performance wise it runs like Doom 3, Quake 4 and HL2. Pretty sweet for a new game. :)

Hey I'm not wealthy, just a regular working shmo. I only buy 2-3 new release games/year by the way. It's just they all come out around now! ;) Then I play them till the rest drop in price, or I go back to my faves, or go way back and buy really old games.

Only new release games I bought last year for full new release retail were Crysis, Orange Box and Bioshock. I still have not played COD 4 because I don't do MP and $50 is not worth the SP imo.
