    Will Steam ever implement P2P file sharing?

    Considering Steam is always struggling on launch day or with any major game update, do you think Steam should implement peer to peer file sharing, at least as an option? I'm surprised they haven't offered this yet. Would just help ease the download stress.

    I believe they would not do this due to worries over what we've seen before in P2P settings like Napster and Kazaa, high chances of security breaches through malware, corrupted files, etc. Through this, PC piracy may flourish more.

    Maybe if they could get very trusted partners to share their server bandwidth for Steam use. But for us common joes, probably not.

    I think it would be cool, but I don't ever see it happening due to security issues. :(
