I pulled the trigger on a Vostro 1400 last week and now the wait game begins. Help tide me over by letting me know how Titan Quest and Age of Empires 3 will perform on the vostro's Santa Rosa 1.6ghz C2D, 1gb RAM, 8400m GS, 120gb 5400rpm. I am going to uninstall Vista out of the box for XP Pro.

I found titan quest to be a pretty demanding game, even for the 7900 GS I had. But I was also trying to run it at 1920x1200 resolution because I thought it looked particularly horrible at non-native resolution. Somehow it just seemed to look worse than any other game out there when i tried running it non-native. Your system will definately run it, but I don't know what kind of settings you can expect.

It runs well at 1680x1050 at medium settings with a 8600GT - no hiccups.

You should be able to run it fine at lower settings.

resolution is the killer in that game. and shadows. medium shadows and high textures should be fine. try to keep it below 16080 X 1050.
