Will a Intel Core Duo processor T2300E(1.66GHZ) go well with a GeForce 8600 GT Video card?

I have a Dell inspiron E1505 notebook with a Intel Core Duo processor T2300E(1.66GHZ). Im wanting to replace my video/graphics card (not sure if they are they same thing), with a GeForce 8600 GT Video card. Will these two components work well with each other or is there another video card that is better priced/works better with my processor.

No, if anything the processor is slightly SLIGHTLY too slow for the video card. to avoid bottlenecking the video card try and get a better processor.

    Be warned. . . A 8600GT will NOT fit or work in a E1505.

The video card is the bottleneck and not the CPU. What kind of video card do you have? Right-click the desktop, go to Properties, then click on advanced and tell us what it says there.

the x1400 is the best gpu for the 1505, so that's it.

Most Dell's are constricted to what their base option was, I.E.: The Radeon x1400, but in some rare cases you MIGHT be able to fit a HD2400 in there, but it'll be pricey, and void warranty. Also, the performance increase from a x1400 to a HD2400 should not overwhelm you to a point where you'd say "My money was worth it".
