Sure it will manage newer games decently, just expect to run at low or medium detail.
But I believe that laptop is about $800US. You can find a better machine for gaming and general performance for $800. -
..if it's supposed to run those games any better than on the xbox, you should go for an i5/640m or 650m combo, imo. If you're going amd, which is in many ways not a bad idea since games really don't depend on cpu power when you get over a certain level, one of the quad-cores along with a decent dedicated card isn't a bad idea either. Specially on cheaper and less than outstanding cooling solutions, this is actually a better solution for many gaming laptops in practice, even if it's not so on the paper..
General picture of what you might expect to get on setups like this..
A 650m/i5, standard clocks, around 2300 3dmarks. Translates to The Witcher 2 in 30fps/720p high detail+2xAA. Or Sleeping Dogs in 1920x1080 medium to full detail. (Overclock potential on the kepler cards, if the cooling is good, is extreme though...).
An a10/7670m (or similar) in crossfire, normalized bus-speeds/ram at 1600Mhz/800Mhz bus, dual channel ram -- around 2100 3dmarks. Easy to get a better score than this, but there's a closer upper limit here (the dedicated card doesn't scale much). Translates to The Witcher 2 in 25-30fps/720p high detail, no AA passes. Sleeping Dogs in 1920x1080 with medium on some detail settings, occlusion effects turned down. Xcom 2012 on this setup runs perfectly fine in 1920x1080 on high detail.
It's not completely clear to me if some of these slow-downs, specially in The Witcher 2, is actually from the way the effects are used and how they're translated by the driver.. but generally not a problem in most games.

So for the price of that dell, your best bet is an amd system. Even some outgoing Llano systems will actually perform just fine at that level. An old i5 or even i3 with a 640m card as well, if that exists, would be an idea. Since cpu processing power rarely is an issue. And the 640m is also a kepler card, and it has that same ridiculous overclock potential (as in, you can do it in three minutes without opening the chassis). A dv6 chassis from hp with a switched out hd screen could be an idea, if you want a hd screen - without paying through the nose for it...
Still - buying a laptop for gaming on the cheap isn't always a really pleasant experience. Usually - even with the expensive ones - you don't get very good cooling, it's hot on the surface, there are some quirks that never happen with desktops, you can't switch out or upgrade components, and so on.
So you might actually be better off if you tried fishing for a used ROG laptop, for example. An "old" g55 with a 670m card, that's on the way out now, is a solid performer and it's not built to just be looked at. So even if refurbished or used laptops is not the greatest proposal in the world, that could possibly be a better idea than shopping something on the cheap that's going to be running hot/used for gaming. Because that is going to lose the shine really fast.
Other direction you could go in - sacrifice the latest games in high detail, buy an a10/apu trinity "ultraslim" laptop with a hd screen. Brilliant for older games and new but less demanding games, and can still be run on battery. Also lasts a long time on battery, and can be used as a tool otherwise. Then just keep the xbox for the other games.
Because.. it's still a long way up to a desktop system here, even on the best gaming laptops with a 680m or a 7970m. Could for example be an idea to get a light but good enough apu/amd system, and then build a small itx cabinet for gaming instead. Pick a gtx 680 card, just have hdmi out and a few usb plugs in front, and you're set. Should cost significantly less than even a modestly performing gaming laptop.. Just saying. -
Thanks alot my main gaming device would be the 360.its just that i need a decent laptop for day to day activities and should handle games decently because i dont want to spend alot and buy games like(Rage,Maxpayne 3, Dishonored, etc) for my xbox because i'd rather save the money and spend it on games like Farcry 3,and GTA V.
Will i be able to play new game?
