I got a gma 950 integrated (duh) graphix with 256mb (shared) video memory.
It's overclocked to 400MHz and also i gotta fan that will reduce the overheating.
i am talkin bout a laptop here lolz
Laptop: Compaq Presario Intel Core Duo T2250 @ 1.73GHz, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 32-bit Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 dualboot Windows 7 Ultimate (BETA), Intel GMA 950 overclocked to 400MHz and using some tweaking programs.
Cod4's system requirements for graphix are like u need 128mb recommended graphix card. gma 950 SHOULD handle cod4 at the highest settings even tho it is overclocked or not and also i tweaked my driver with a modded verson so it should run perfect, am i right?
Desktop: IBM Netvista Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.66GHz, 1GB DDR RAM, 32-bit Windows Xp Professional SP3, Intel Extreme Graphix (64mb integrated)
OLD Desktop: Dell Optiplex GX150 Intel Pentium 3 @ 1.13GHz, 512MB SD-RAM, Windows Xp Home Edition SP3, ATI Rage 128 PRO (32mb agp graphix)

What are the requirements to run COD4 on a PC?
Recommended requirements:
CPU: 2.4 GHz Dual Core or better
RAM: 1GB for XP and 2GB for Vista
HD: 8GB Free Space
GFX: 3.0 Shader Support, Nvidia Geforce 7800, ATI Radeon X1800 or better.
Minimum requirements:
CPU: Intel® Pentium® 4 2.4 GHz, AMD® Athlon™ 64 2800+ processor
or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or better.
RAM: 512MB RAM (768MB for Windows Vista)
HD: 8GB Free SPace
GFX: NVIDIA® Geforce™ 6600, ATI® Radeon® 9800Pro or better
I dont believe the GMA 950 meets the minimum requirements, to solve the problem get a machine with a supported video card -
and minimum requirements are often as low as it gets. Sure you can start the game perhaps, but the fps will be ****** to death
-
hmm ok would Battlefield 2 run?
i mean cod4 cant be that hardcore graphix now can it?
im only getting it for online -
Well actually im not too keen on intelgrated graphics cards... I would say, give it a go.
But no man, it should not be able to handle COD4 at highest settings, one bit.. Not..one...bit.
Lowest probably -
apparently BF2 will run, but like crap if you install a patch of some kind
every one else cant seem to get it to work correctly. to check if your machine will run a game look here
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
found lots of posts like this in the gaming sites
and without shader support you wont be playing too many games that have come out in the last few years -
A 6150go card can barely run COD4 at the lowest settings but it will still lag and its better than the GMA950 card i doubt COD4 will even run on a GMA950 card at all
Both cards are not made for games -
He shouldnt even be gaming at all on that thing lol
-
Hey, tetris and Commander Keen and some of the old Sierra games will really motor
-
Battlefield 2 will barely run on my Core 2 Solo with GMA 4500MHD, and I run minimum detail with 1024x576 resolution. A while back when I was on an Eee kick, I started a site called www.gameeer.com. I have since abandoned it, but left it up for reference. Those are the kinds of games you can play.
-
Just play games that came out before 2003, if you like FPS, you can try COD1, and COD2 (run it in DX7 mode), Medal of Honor: Allied Assult, Counter-Strike, maybe even Far Cry, Half-life 2, etc etc...
Play point-click adventure games, such as longest journey, grim fandango, myst...
Or you can try some modern indie games like World of Goo, Planets vs. Zombies, etc -
You can run Sins of a Solar Empire on a GMA 950? HOLY CRAP! I can do something with my tablet! Sweet!
