    Hey guys,

I decided to go with this lenovo because i got it at a great price. I only play one game, starcraft 2 and was hoping to play on at least high with good fps, preferably 60. Ultra i assume would be less. I had thought the specs would be enough to do so, gpu seems like overkill, even without SLI, and the cpu seems pretty solid. Could have gotten the i7 4700mq but it was about 180 more.

    i5 4200m
    GT 755m SLI
    500 gb sshd
    15.6 inch 1080 screen
    6 gb ram

Do you guys think i can run starcraft at high to ultra at playable FPS?

Thanks a lot for the help
    Joe

My Alienware M17x R2 with a 920XM + 5870M Crossfire played SC2 ultra 1920x1200 with no trouble. Your laptop should have no issue. If you play heavy spam custom maps, it might struggle a bit.

    Thanks mate! it's much appreciated.

there are so many cpu's and gpu's out there it's so hard to know what can do what, and most people always recommend these crazy setups which i don't really need.

Thanks again, we will see when it gets here tomorrow.

    Well!

Got it yesterday, updated all the drivers, deleted all the bloatware, and downloaded SC2.

Before the updates i was getting 80 fps at the start of a 1v1. After the updates i am now getting 175 fps at the beginning of a 1v1.

Everything is maxed out, just put on 2d profiles instead of 3d. Seemed like a waste.

This thing handles SC2 like a beast so far.

Had a moment where i forgot i unplugged it and tried to play SC2 and was getting 8 fps and almost had a heart attack haha ! Stupid mistake.

One thing i am confused about is the stalls/min. What exactly is that , and how many are normal, i get about 3-7 a min it says.

Thanks again guys, always appreciate the help
