Sorry for the new thread, but I could not find the thread on the game and saw that the "Can my notebook run it?" thread was closed.

I was wondering at what settings I would be able to play Star Wars: The Old Republic. Thanks in advance!

Probably Medium-High. Based on the graphics in the Alpha/Beta that I have seen, they don't look complex enough to need a high-end GPU to max it.

You never know, some new games that come out have really unoptimized engines.

E.g. GTAIV looks like it could run on $400 laptops but one needs $1k laptop to run it on mid/high settings with barely playable framerates.

However, most MMO's don't seem to have high GPU requirements to play nicely and fluid.

And GTA IV was a sloppy console port while SWTOR is being developed exclusively for PC.

Yup, 5650 i5 should be fine on medium.

Lets put it this way, I hope I can play it with my 3450M. I can play StarCraft II at 1440x900 lowest settings with 30-60fps and BF Bad Company 2 at lowest res & settings with 15-25fps. Those are the two most modern games I've tried.

The 3450M is not a bad card. Overclock it and it can still do some modern low-mid end gaming.

Do you know how to OC a 4350M? I've searched yet I cannot find anything.

Get the latest Catalyst drivers from AMD/ATI and then install Sapphire TriXX. Use TriXX to set the new clocks you desire and then user FurMark or a GPU-Intensive game to test stability.

Last time I ran something from FutureMark, I averaged <1 fps and it essentially froze. I don't even know what to look for in stability anyway when OCing. I am using the latest AMD drivers and CCC (11.7 32bit)

Ah nevermind, TriXX crashes whenever I try to run it.

yes, especially since we are talking about 1366x768 resolution, perhaps medium-high
