Will my video card be able to handle this monitor well?

    Hi all!

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X200 with integrated Intel GMA4500 graphics. I was thinking of grabbing myself the 23" Dell SP2309W with 2048 x 1152 resolution before school starts, but I wasn't sure how well my video card would handle it. Normally, this card is supposed to handle 1080p decoding, but on a screen this big will I start to notice slowdowns with Windows Aero running along with say VLC playing a video on the side? Would I be better off getting something slightly smaller with 1920x1080 resolution instead? Here's the link to the monitor at Dell Canada:

    Thanks in advance :)

Thats a very odd resolution on the Dell, never even seen it before.

Besides gaming and other intense 3d tasks the resolution increase should not really bother your card, as long as it can support the resolution it should display it without a problem.

That is odd. But yeah, the 4500 should be fine for regular desktop work.
