Notebook is in the signature. Now i am told it can run HL2/CSS it will only be used for an occsonal game as i have an X360/PC to fill my gaming needs, Do any of you have an idea around what FPS ill get with HL2 on Low/Med settings?

Also what about other games such as Act of war, Dawn of war. My pc could run them but it has an X800GTO2 and i know the X1400 isnt as good as that.

If any of you have this laptop could you do a valve stress test at all and some becnhmarks and show the FPS results as i have looked on the web and found nothing on the card/laptop.

Shame i dont get the dam thing until Xmas :(

have a similar laptop, only 1gb ram and an x1400 with 128 shared and 128 dedicated. It runs dawn of war no prob on high settings, hf2 should run from medium -high as well so no problems there.

only latest games like oblivion and so wont run well on higher setting on that card, best on low.

Your laptop will play anything you want it to. Its just a matter of finding graphic settings you deem playable.

Aslong as its above 40FPS and looks fairly decent am happy, i love my FPS on my GTO2 as they hit 100+ on CSS now i dont expect that from an X1400 but i do suspect atleast 40

The X1400 should do beatifully with CSS and HL2. On the CS:S video stress test, I get 44.1 FPS at all High settings, NO AA, AF4X, and No HDR OR Bloom at 1024x768 resolution. This is with the Graphics card in my sig, which is about 2-3x worse than your's. You should be able to get 60 FPS easy, at the same settings as me.

No problem, and I have an X360 as well, how are you liking yours so far. I am enjoying mine very much, especially with Gears of War.

One more thing, HL2 is not as demanding as CSS, so you should be able to play with HDR as well, at Native Res at nice FPS.
