After buying a Windows 8 Pro Tablet, I decided it'd be smart to upgrade my laptop too. Its been an annoying process so far.

My original install had a lot of problems after getting the drivers in and good. But my WEI I believe had 6.9 for both desktop and gaming graphics.

Now I have 7.8 for CPU & RAM, 5.9 for desktop, 6.9 got gaming, and 8.1 for memory.

Does this seem right for Windows 8 for an i7-3610QM with Intel HD 4000 and a GTX 675M?

I know WEI is not a good benchmarking tool, but does at least let you know if the drivers are correct.

Another note is when I put my ear up to my GPU vent, I can barely hear the fan and feel it. Which tells me Optimus may not be working right because the fan never turned on in Windows 7 when the Intel HD graphics was the gpu being used. I'm just a little worried.

Here is my rating for the system in my sig. Looks like your GPU score is a little low. Are you on the most up to date Nvidia drivers?

Windows 8 changed the scale so comparing it to the Windows 7 WEI might not make sense depending on if they made any other changes. For me, my CPU score in Windows 7 was the same as my GPU score. When I upgraded, my CPU score was almost a whole point higher. The same seems to be happening in your case. Also, a 6.9 for a 675M seems normal. Don't try to listen to the fan or look for higher WEI scores. Run a benchmark like 3D Mark or play some games. You'll know if something is wrong within the first few minutes of gaming.

I know the scale is different. Just in Windows 7, the fan would shut off and HWMonitor wouldn't display the Nvidia GPU Temp. However, the fan wont shut off, HWMonitor always displays a temp for the Nvidia GPU, although turning on the tray icon shows no Nvidia activity. I'm just worried Optimus isn't working. I think my battery is draining much faster right now than it normally does.

Your gpu score seems a little bit low, I get 7.2 points on the graphics and I have the gt650m sli which should perform just like your gtx675m.
Tried installing the latest nvidia drivers? my gpu score went up from 7.1 to 7.2 after installing the latest drivers.
As for the CPU, RAM and Hard drive I get the same scores as you.
