I'm sure it is not Fraps because when i fire up other games like CS GO, Diablo 3 and WoW, Fraps is working fine and showing the fps counter on the top left corner. Buy when if fire up the retail version of Crysis whether it is the EA or Steam version and even the demo, the fps is not showing.

Could this be an issue with Crysis game and Windows 8 because FPS was showing just fine on a windows 7 machine.

Can anyone test it if they have Fraps and Crysis on a windows 8 machine?

Can't help you with this specific problem, but in the meantime, if you want to know your framerate (and a lot of other information), go into the console and type "r_displayinfo 1" without the quotes.

I have Windows 8 and bought Crysis yesterday. I installed it overnight and am having the exact same problem. Fraps shows up on everything but that. -_-

Try MSI Afterbuner or nVidia GeoForce Experience they both have FPS counters.
