I'm thinking of buying the Lenovo Explorer after seeing a demonstration video on it... Looks revolutionary..

    Thoughts and opinions

I'll link the YouTube video in a while

I wouldn't call it revolutionary, but WMR is nice, especially because you don't have to set up any sensors/lighthouses, and slightly higher resolution. The controllers won't be quite as good as the Rift or Vive because they are only tracked by came the front of the visor, but they work very well.

I almost got the Explorer because of the great deals they had, but wound up buying the Samsung Odyssey. Make sure the Explorer will work with your interpupillary distance (IPD) because that is not adjustable on WMR sets other than the Samsung. Read up about game compatibility and some reviews before buying games due to some issues (like Lone Echo, apparently). WMR sets work with a vast majority of SteamVR games, and apparently Revive (though I haven't personally tried this yet).

Make sure your system can handle the games you want. Count on the requirements being higher than the Rift or Vive due to the extra resolution (1440x1440, or 1600x1440 for the Samsung).

I have a 970m...and plan on light gaming... Netflix and 3d movies..

Off topic literally 3 minutes ago I bought antec formula 7 nano diamond thermal paste. My CPU loads to 89c then throttles with MS is stock paste... Will the new thermal paste make a huge. Medium. Or small difference in load temperatures.. Anyone at all know anything about antecs nano diamond thermal paste... I did a google search about it.. And it says it's basically twice as conductive as ic diamond 7 carat... Not sure if this is bogus but tomorrow I'll find out how it performs.. Can't wait though... Super curious as to what to expect... All I care about is the CPU not throttling
