Well, here's the thing, I have my gaming pc hooked up in the basement to my TV with a bunch of peripherals including a racing cockpit, flightstick, etc. But with the awesome performance of this desktop, I feel that it is being put to waste with a 1080p TV that has 52ms response time. The pc is currently located in the basement.

What I want to do is bring the pc up to the 2nd floor to my room and hook up an actual high-res gaming monitor to it on a desk WHILE it is still connected to the TV and all the peripherals 2 stories below in the basement. I have heard of wireless HDMI and wireless USB hubs, so I have been thinking of using that to do this. However, I really need some input on this, does anyone know if this is even reliable for gaming? Will 2 stories be too much of a range for this wireless connection to work properly?

Thank you for your input. I just read the reviews on that, one reviewer said that it doesn't work with their Logitech Controller... so for me that will be useless. Well, that settles it, until Valve releases a Steam Machine with capable streaming and the ability to use other peripherals, the gaming pc wont be going to my room. But I still have some room in the basement for a desk and monitor, I may just end up using some very long HDMI cable and USB extension cables, it will probably even be better that way.

I can't see how wirelessly it would ever be acceptable for gaming... way too much lag, especially on the video side of things. I've yet to find a wireless solution for just video across a single room that didn't drive me nuts with lag. Watching a movie is ok but not gaming.

Hopefully tech catches up in this area.
