Title pretty much says it all. May 17 for release, I'm going to be all over that.

I'm a bit excited. I do have one problem though, and that is because my AW m11x r1 is the best notebook I have :S

I'm actually playing thru Witcher right now and can't believe how ridiculously long this game is if you go and try to do everything. That said, i'll be playing Witcher 2.

Sadly never got into the witcher, tried playing through it twice and just don't find it engaging enough. The combat is far to simple for my tastes as well.

I'm just worried if m5850 can run this game at high setting.

No delays then? Great, shame I can't touch the game until my system is ready. There's absolutely no way I can run the sequel with any fluidity in performance.

Yeah, I think we all have games that were generally liked but failed to get into. Fallout 3 comes to mind, I tried and tried but it just didnt work for me.

i do hope the story is as epic and well done as the first. literally the combat was so simplified but the story and everything else made combat almost secondary.

if they improve the combat i hope it doesn't come at the cost of not having a good story (see mass effect 1 compared to mass effect 2)

I still haven't even tried Witcher. With my new laptop, I think I'll take a fling at it.

after playing the original witcher, da  seemed so drab and childish.
looking forward to this game. hopefully, they do away with the few fetching quests of the first game and go for more content heavy side quests just as da did.
im wondering now if witcher 2 will make da2 seem drab and childish too when it comes out.

I got bored of The Witcher. It was fun for a little while, but was like ho hum, same hack and slash. I really wanted to get into it, but I dunno, just wasn't my thing I guess.

I agree, same was the case with me and Assasin's Creed 1. It became so much repetitive and boring for me after a few levels, despite the visual extravaganza. Did not feel like laying my hands on the sequels, though I heard that they are better.
Perhaps we should start a thread on this topic ;-)

@Comskian - OT, but maybe change the size of your font in your sig. It doesn't show up with the default NBR style, but if you use the vBulletin style it looks HUGE!

Just played through Witcher 1 (imo the game was average & slightly boring in Act 1 & 2 but the second half is just pure awesome :p) and pre-ordered Witcher 2. :D

After reading this preview TW2 is looking extremely promising. :)
