From the gamespot article.
This is looking to be an absolute blockbuster for next year's releases. One of the 3 reasons I can safely plump for a proper high-end gaming laptop before the end of this year and not look like a fool. My only concern is that the developers put too much on their plate and end up with a mediocre game with a mismash of playable routes.

Thanks for the heads up, I thoroughly enjoyed playing witcher 1 and the sequel better not disappoint!
-
Given how the first Witcher required an Enhanced Edition release to make the game trouble-free and thus worth buying, hopefully the developers will have learned from their previous mistake.

I am looking forward to this. Still haven't beaten the first Witcher, though! XD

what are the other 2 reasons OP?
and yeah i agree, not only did they release an enhanced edition for free, they also made a mod toolkit and patched out the CD check later, they treat their customers right, which is such a rare thing these days. -
2. Civilization 5 (might change depending on how they develop it).
I still don't like the character designs compared to what I played with on the 1st game, but it's something I'll probably get used to. Developers are breaking out all of the toys for the eyecandy so it will look good on very powerful hardware. -
Enhanced Edition added a lot more than "Bug Fixes" and I wish more Devs. had this kind of dedeication to their games !
Read and weep ................Pessimistic people of the world !
Enhanced Edition
"Cover art for the Enhanced EditionAt GDC 2008, CDProjekt announced an enhanced version of the game which was released on September 16, 2008. The significant changes featured in the enhanced version are over 200 new animations, additional NPC models and recoloring of generic NPC models as well as monsters, vastly expanded and corrected dialogues in translated versions, improved stability, redesigned inventory system and load times reduced by roughly 80%.[27][28][29] In addition all bugs are said to be fixed and the game manual completely overhauled. I had no issues with the 1st edition either. I will be re-installing now to play again, totally forgot about this game. The 2nd one is looking to be even better. I hope it can challenge Dragon Age.

Right now the first game is sitting on my desktop, I'd totally forgotten I had installed it. Guess I'll try to finish it now.

Put it this way, I have smoother framerate with Metro 2033, Crysis and Dirt 2 than I did with Witcher Enhanced version.
So I don't expect the Witcher 2 to run fantastic, I just hope better, smoother. Don't mind cranking down some of the settings. -
Yes, the first game demands a monster machine to run it at highest settings, kinda ridiculous for such a old game. But the graphics does look very good and the game including game play and story is just awesome.

The new game is asking for much more for recommended specs. I'm expecting quad-core of some sort and a 460/5850 equivalent card.
