Amazing deal. Any RPG-like fan that don't have it should take the offer. The game is really worth it.

Worth the buy, even if to have a digital copy if you already own the game. I had a hard time getting into the game, but still worth the $5 any way you slice it.

I missed this when it first came out (too addicted to Warcraft at the time to play anything else), so have got it from GoG. Waiting for the weekend when I'll have a good few hours spare to start playing :D

How's the installer for GoG ? Is there a pause/resume feature? Do games run correctly after the first install or do they need to be reinstalled a few times to get it right?

Never used GoG and trying to find some info about them.

    Thanks :)

You can download using browser or with their downloader which has pause/resume. Firefox has pause resume anyhow.

Why would you need to install a few times? Never had that problem. Gog.com games are all DRM free. You buy it, you own it. No limited installs or anything.

They are the best source for older game titles, and that's what they specialize in, well except for The Witcher because it's run by the same company that made The Witcher and The Witcher 2.

So this is the entire Witcher game right? I've never played it and only heard a little about it.

This edition is like a GOTY edition of it? Or is it DLC for the original Witcher?

While we're at it how well does the R2 i5 run Witcher fps?

    Thanks for the info.

I know my question wasn't that clear. It's only that I have read some "game download" reviews for Amazon.com service, and a lot of people complain that after downloading the game, the installer has an error or flat out doesn't work. Amazon usually suggests redownloading the entire game again. I just wanted to make sure this wasn't a problem that GoG also has.

I think I'll give it a day. If Steam doesn't match, I'll get it from GoG tomorrow :D

    Thanks

It's the full version, Enhanced Edition, Director's Cut (hence the EE DC). Considering minimum requirements are Pentium 4 2.4GHz or Athlon 64 2800+ and GeForce 6600 or ATI Radeon 9800 which are about HALF the 3DMark06 score of the M11x, it's safe to say medium detail at native 1366x768 should run fine.

Hmm, maybe through Amazon. That can happen time and again from any game install I guess.

    0o0o0o0o0oo!!! :D

I decided, what the hey... it's only $5!!!, so I went with GoG.
Payment process went fast, and downloading right now using their "GOG.com Downloader" program; speeds about 300-400 kb/s. Also comes with A LOT of bonus material . I don't know if steam offers that.......

Yeah, you can't go wrong for $5. I doubt Steam will offer it for same or less, because that means less money for CD Projekt because Valve will want to take their share.

    Mini contest thingy over.

First person on this list to guess which game series you have in common gets Witcher EE DC on GOG:

    xKindjalx
    HTWingNut
    Syberia
    Rodster
    Texanman
    Mr MM - Winner!
    lozanogo
    IWantMyMTV

    EDIT
Hint that's hopefully not too obvious: You all posted in the same topic sharing enthusiasm for one of the games in this mystery series.

Suppose I'll pick it up... it'd be nice to have it for $5 on steam, but yeah it might not happen.

Not sure what you mean by this, but I already bought the game today while I should have been working

With the system requirements this has, I wonder if it will be playable on an AMD Fusion netbook I might be getting soon.

actually yes, I confused the 2, since I played more tie fighter and x wing vs tie fighter, thats why I said that in the post.

lmao, totally unfair too, since texanman responded twice!

if you want to disqualify, go forward

Hehehe, well I had X-Wing in mind, but I would've taken any game in the series as an answer. I thought Texanman was saying your answer was not one of them, but since it was I'll pm you the code. Grats! Sorry Texan!
