I just recently got the msi 1761 and installed WoW on it. It's an i7-2720 with 8GB ram. and gtx 570m. I'm on ultra and I'm around 3 to 10 fps! I know with my current rig I should be at least hitting 60. What could be the issue?
I've been looking all over for answers and can't seem to find any.
I've changed my power management to max performance on the NVIDIA control panel and didn't help at least one bit.
-
Current drivers? Isn't overheating? GPU isn't throttling?
-
It should have the current drivers, I know it isn't over heating. The GPU shouldn't be throttling, how do I check that?
-
optimus optimus optimus, right click, run with high performance nvidia processor
-
So what am I looking for?
-
right click the game icon, go to run with, and then high performance nvidia processor
-
actually optimus isn't even showing up at all.
-
you don't have optimus
you have 570m right? is it disabled in MSI?
-
The UI for my nvidia control panel doesn't even have the view option on the top bar... My drivers are all updated as well. Yes I have a 570.

Here is what I SHOULD be running at. -
you realize that is a link to the DESKTOP nvidia 570, right? yeah? ok. 570 desktop =/= 570m. in org, i average about 50-60 on ultra without v-sync with the desktop in my sig.
on my laptop that i had just recently sold with a 5870m i would only barely approach 30fps on ultra with an i7820qm -
Well I went into MSI's forums and deleted the vga drivers. I downloaded the chipset again but it won't let me update to the latest drivers. I'm currently stuck in the 268.90 version, it says "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." How can I fix this?
EDIT: was able to update. -
still having fps issues with it after the update?
