    I don't play this but I thought some of you would be interested to know that WoW made the front page of the NY Times.

    :eek:I knew Blizzard were doing well but man, that figure is just incredible for just one videogame. I wonder what the record for the most revenue created by a "media entertainment" product is because I think World of Warcraft is going to shatter it quite soon if it hasn't already.

    "Traditional" PC gaming revenues may be decreasing but with successes as huge as this, PC gaming is going absolutely nowhere. It just proves the advantages of creating a game with lower requirements that offers something that can't be had on any other system but a PC. WOW plays to the strengths of a PC as a gaming format capable of reaching an unprecedented install base but games like Fear do not and the respective revenue generated just shows which approach works best.
