Well this past friday I played the game on my little brothers PC while doing some tweaks and setup...and WOW. I always wanted to see WoW in action instead of only on G4 tv. I played on his system before I updated his drivers and OC'd his gpu and vram (went from a 800 3dmark05 to 1700 3dmarks on a agp 9550 ati card) and it was maxed settings and everything and was pretty smooth. All it took was 10 min of game time and I am hooked, went out and bought the game and pre-ordered the expansion pack that comes out in november.
I just wanted to give a shout out to all those who are hooked; and to those who play Im on the executus(spelling?) realm, horde and my home is bloodhoof , and Im a hunter so all you low level taurens here is my shout out!

People who play W0W should just go ahead and kill themselves, for the sake of your job, friends, and family.
-
everyone at work is hooked this show. The VP comes in and talks 1-2 hrs about wow and 3 mins about work. So every time he starts to talk about work, we change the conversation. VP is 50+ yrs old.
-
2. maybe you should kill yourself for this response...
Im not on 24/7 or anything, I play maybe 1-2 hours a day. Yes it is the only game I play now but I by no means play too much. -
Welcome to the 40% of WoW players that are addicted.
-
lol, Wow.
What are the chances, I have a 33 Tauren Druid on Executus(It was made cos i was bored). I have a 60 Warlock which I play most of the time. Addicting? To a certain point, but I can control it so its all good -
I was addicted for about 2 months, but kicked it cold turkey.
The game was great... but the visuals just got old... Even on Max settings, 1024x768... they looked kind of cheesy. I enjoy Guild Wars a little more, although it's not really a MMO... more like just an RPG. -
wow is awesome, gets old sometimes but i can't walk away, dont really care about the graphics. Its just easy for the casual game and for the hardcore gamer....too bad my college connection takes a **** during the day. BUT in the business college which is my college's forte we have a FAT ASS line so i can play during my boring classes
-
hehe, I was a raider for my first year but they ignored the priest class to much and I left for several months. I'm now back and playing a mage on a pvp server, and occasionaly my priest with friends (its still not fixed imo. The 31 point talents all suck still, and so do the racial abilities). I also switch off to guild wars (I am so watching for a sale on factions..I really want to play it but not $49 want to play it.
)

I refuse to start playing WoW. I spend too much time on my computer anyway.

WoW was fun for about 5 seconds. Then I wanted to rip my eyeballs out, put them in an envelope, and mail them to Blizzard with a note saying, "This is what your piece of **** game made me do."
-
?
-
Hey hey hey!
Since getting to 60, I've only played like 2-3 times a week for 3-4 hours, mostly guild organized raids, so its not that bad. -
I have to agree with notebook_ftw...
I refuse to start playing WoW, because I have sooo many better things to do that just won't get done if I start playing WoW -
lesh, wish I could say the same. The only "better" things for me to do envolve spending money...so I think wow helps me save money.

Well I play 1-2 hours a day, and its either this game or another one. I am a hardcore gamer, well at least I was before college and marriage, and I need some kind of fix. So why not WoW?? Granted I agree that the graphics arent anything special, even at 1280x800 res and max settings its still pretty crude. BUT look at the world and features, I walked for 30 mins straight and havent even begun to tap the map. You can micromanage and have non combat skills, its definately a full featured game with ALOT to do.
Hey if your ever on look for or add huntedone and ask for Andrew (thats me of course). Usually I quest alone but sometimes I quest with my little brother and his nieghbor. Right now Im limited to thunder bluff, blood hoof, and the surrounding areas. So if your on executus realm stop by and give me some tips and whatnot.
I know its an addicting game and all but all things in moderation. School and marriage has helped me to control my gaming excessivness, had this game been around in highschool I would never had left the house. I am willing to admit it...
edit: Oh and if you could tell me the closest place to train for bows near bloodhoof. That would be great as I could get rid of this nasty blunderbuss -
I believe you need to train for bows in Orgrimmar but I'm not postitive. (trolls have a native racial that helps with ranged weapons)

I started playing WoW since launch (Nov 2004), got 4 lvl 60 chars in 3 different servers. My last char was really pimped and I raid every night. I quit last Aug coldturkey and sold my account so I wont go back playing. Wow was affecting my life, job, marriage, etc. It's really addicting, especially with a good guild, beware.

-
You can always ask a guard, sometimes they will tell you...
As well, www.thottbot.com is an amazing resource! -
yeah Ill see if I can hitch a ride from thunderbluff to org....Ill see if that works today.
-
