    WoW at Ultra?

    Just wondering if my new comp will run WoW at ultra?

    HP Dv7
    Core i7 Quad 2760 (I cant remember the last two numbers)
    Radeon 1gb 6770m
    8gb RAM
    Full HD 1080 screen

    The last two "numbers" of your processor are probably "QM" :D

    I would say most likely. WoW isn't a terribly graphically demanding game and I ran it on fairly high settings on the M1530 in my sig.

    I guess that is an i7 2720QM cpu.

    Wow does not require a monster gpu at all. Your gpu is enough to run wow with ultra settings (i know a guy with an old 9800m who runs wow on ultra settings 1600x1050 as that is the ress of his external monitor). The 6770m will be able to handle 1080p ultra with ease.

    Wow is a cpu dependent game. The i7 2720QM is a great cpu. 1080p ultra is easy for this cpu to handle.

    Thing is wow isnt quite optimized on ultra. It just starts eating resources for no apparent reason. It wasnt rare that enabling sunshafts caused crashes on many gpus etc.

    To answer your question — yes, it will most likely but no one knows for sure )
