He puts asians to shame . My friends and I used to get steamed when we played Halo 3 competitively, pretty darn frustrating. I can't stand playing WOW, the game seems pretty pointless to me, especially at $15 a month(or whatever the price is).

Actually, I play Guild Wars and I like it over WoW precisely because grinding is not necessary. All you get from grinding is titles and cool-looking armors and weapons, but it's merely prestige and looks -- you are as effective a fighter/healer/spellcaster/whatever as a guy who has played for 20 or 30 hours (maybe 50 is more realistic).

Sorry for being off-topic (did this have a topic to begin with??)

I heard many people getting so addicted to WoW that they have lost months/years of their lives. Please consume moderately.

I'm guilty of addiction to WOW, but in my case it's because after high school me and my friends moved a good distance from each other. So we would play on WOW as kind of a half social/half gaming type of deal.

If none of my friends played, I doubt I would play it much at all.

WoW doesn't matter for me....IMO Blizzard made this game to have constant flow of cash to support producing sequels to it's classics ( Starcraft and Diablo ) at very high quality level .... I just can't wait for Diablo III.....oh the item harvesting and leveling....the joys of oldschool hack n ' slash :D :) :D

These guys are among the top of the US players... so it is quite competitive. Still doesn't give him a reason to nerd rage so badly though.

Lol I had a lvl 70 char and I traded it to some kid for his 2 lvl 70s.

Whats funny is that he agreed to keep his credit card on the account when we changed the email addresses.

So its still being paid for, but I dont even play. Occasionally I get on to see if my old friends are still playing, but they dont so I dont lol. :p

The video was kind of stupid, and there's a few things I don't get. Well first I've played WoW, I've given it a try twice, once for 30 minutes, til I quit of extreme boredom, and again for 14 hours over the course of 3 days, then quit of extreme boredom. My dad kept trying to convince me to play the game since he used to play it religiously with his wife every day and did almost nothing else. Ok, so basically I kind of get the game, but how the heck does someone play it competitively? Do they PVP? And how would that even be fun since you could probably pre determine who will win based on their stats and character skills/equipment.

Well, in arenas(I dont know if its still the same) you would do 2v2, 3v3, 5v5. You would go up against someone with the same team score. Now, you could def tell if the other team had good gear or what not, but you could always beat them. Thats the thing, just because someone has great gear or w/e, doesnt mean theyre the best.

imo It was extremely exciting and was kind of an adrenaline rush every time you step foot in the arena. Thats just me though.

I think the same about it, I never played WoW .... yes NEVER, but I have the strong feeling this game is designed by huge team of smart-guys hired by Blizzard ( game psychiatrists? ) who know what repetitive elements in gameplay addict people and make them become sucked into the game - WoW is just like drugs literally....first you hook up people by giving them "free" first month and then they must pay for every second month.....what ofcourse...they will do

That's perhaps a bit too extreme, but I gave up on Blizzard when they released their expansion pack to Diablo 2. They made the good loot extremely hard to find, which meant that you had to spend months playing several hours a day to have a mild chance of finding one or two such items.

I didn't buy it, but of course most folks did which meant suddenly I had noone to play with. WoW uses the same concept, in business it's called "milking the cow".

The only thing that shows Blizzard in good light ( personally I DO like this company because I still consider them masters in art of game making ) is that a lot of income they make from WoW goes into design of next titles - like Starcraft II and Diablo III witch are already very promising (and as we all know "promising" means great game if we have Blizzard in mind )
