Could someone advise me as to the playability of World of Warcraft on a laptop with an ATI Mobility X1400 GPU? namely an Acer Aspire 5672?

I'm guessing based on the 3dmark05 scores that it'd do pretty good, medium settings kind of good?

I'm assuming the X1600 would kick but over it and play well at high settings? yes?

Just trying to decided if I could settle for an Aspire 5672 instead of an Acer Travelmate 8204 since I don't think I'm going to be able to live with my Sager 5670's POS track pad.

I'm not a gamer, but think I might want to check out WoW, sounds fun. Just want to make sure I get something that it's playable on, and whatever the next MMORPG the comes out is also playable on.

    Thanks!

You could run it at high settings or close to it with no problems. WoW is not a very demanding game at all.

An X1600, although much more powerful than the X1400, would be overkill if you are just going to play WoW.

The AS5672 is a spectacular value, especially with 2GB of RAM, 120GB hard drive and 128MB X1400.

Since you said you weren't a gamer, I'd go for it.

    Cheers
