    WoW run on 56k?

    Hey guys

    Just wondering how playable is WoW on a 56k connection? i meet all the system requirement specs.......just wanted to know how playable it is on a 56k internet connection

    It should run. Official specs say it works on a 56k modem. And blizzard is notorious for tiny system requirements.

    Plus me and several others can play it on my colleges wireless which at certain times of day is MUCH slower than a 56k modem.

    My friend plays on dial up and he's ok to do end game raids such as Molten Core.. However he does get disconnected from the battlegrounds now and then.

    56K is ok for casual solo play. For raid time you will want to have better ping and access to ventrilo. Molten core and up can be done with 56K, just don't do anything important like tanking or main heal.

    In theory, it can be done. However, I would strongly caution that you turn down your video card settings as internet lag and low fps is a guaranteed disaster in an when soloing (and especially instances).

    Also, while it probably will tick a few people off, do tell people in your party that your internet isn't broadband. While some may be turned off by this, it's better for them to know beforehard instead of in the middle of a battle.
