I think it checks for clockspeed so just install it anyway.

Did you really have to ask this question? Did you look at the minimum requirements?

Its probably a very simple program that looks for the CPU string and has a little list of all the ones it supports, the Core Duo is comparatively new so its not on the list and you get your message. I had that with a couple of OLD programs and my old overclocked 2400xp (to actual 2.4ghz).

Ah dont listen to those stupid minimum requirements. They calculate with clockspeeds. They say: a Pentium 4 2.2 Ghz is the minimum. A T2600 is an incredible fast thing!

Its the clock thing as others said, but its also just poor support in many cases - even on my desktop, with a regular P4 3.4ghz, I frequently get "CPU Test - Failed" in loads of games, including Half Life 2.

Pay it no heed, you know your machine is the biz and thats all that counts :D

Just ingore it , you could install it and run it...It just fails to check as you are using a new CPU. Have you tried to run a game which is released from 95-99 , you will notice it will detect your CPU as 0Mhz ..(I guess it does not detect anything beyond 1Ghz)
