Hello!
I'm curious, is anyone planning on buying this game when it comes out?
I stumbled upon it while looking around a website and it brought back some memories from a LOONNGGGG time ago.![]()
I searched and didn't see any threads about it, so I figured it would be worthwhile posting.![]()

Whoa! I hadn't realised it'll be out in nine days. I'll definitely be picking it up even though I still have a large 'yet-to-be-played' pile sitting on my shelf.
-
Don't worry, although I know you're one of us "old timers", I have dozens that I always meant to get back to and finish, yet never have.

Im a big fan of return to castle......, and I hope that I will get better feelings and better story beside graphics. Overall, this game should be rocking.
-
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Hopefully my Asus can handle it.

Ah wolfenstein for super nintendo is crossing my mind
These games were great. Hopefully they can revitalize the franchise. -
This looks pretty good. Looking forward to it.
-
Got hooked on the original when I was just 6 (!).....RTCW was a blast.......pre-ordered this a few days ago and am expecting the best when it shows up
-
Wolfenstein > DOOM.
-
I hope the game will feature sci-fi and "undead" elements, just like RTCW from 2001
-
Finally, an ATI supported game.
-
Cam this game run on my dell studio 15 in sig? If not, will it run on my gaming rig?

Red Dragon, thanks for that! What throwback in time! Man I feel old now. I remember when that was released. A buddy of mine worked in the computer department of the local university and did server backups (on huge reel to reel tapes mind you). He said "let me show you this cool game" on one of the computers in the lab. Needless to say I visited the lab every night for weeks, until we finished the game.
-
HAHAHA!!! EXCELLENT!
Thanks for that flashback.

Ht, Ah yes it makes me feel old as well
Isnt is crazy? That was revolutionary for its time, and when we look at it now you chuckle a little. I also forgot how the AI was you literally go in the room and just kill everyone in seconds. Now you have to plan it or you get gunned down. gaming has evolved for the good though
Beefy, no problem man

Back when I played Wolfenstein and Doom I would get scared of what was coming around the corner lol. The new Wolfenstein looks pretty good - it seems like it will have a good german war era environment.
Here are some pics/reviews:

I wonder if there will be multiplayer. Enemy Territory were the best days of my gaming life, australian servers were closed down simply because they were getting too many complaints (requests) by the community
-
How could it not have Multiplayer?
-
Erm...yes, Wolfensten includes multiplayer.
-
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
So far the videos I have seen make the game look pretty good. I am always up for thwarting Nazi science experiments and their evil plans! Otherwise it looks like a pretty standard shooter. I hope there's a demo.

It reminds me alot of call of Duty 4
But i'm sure it will be better Rawr! -
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Hm, not sure how this, a WWII alternate universe with supernatural Nazi weapons, reminds you of busting caps into terrorists in the middle of a desert? -
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Yes well the weapons do.
Maybe i should have said the GRAPHICS and the GUNS. Reminds me of Call of Booty -
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Hm no, still don't see it. I'd have to say it's more like Doom Nazi-Shock imho.
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Nazi shock? LOL is that a mix of nazi's with Bioshock?
I was looking at Videos on Youtube and some of the people were saying that the multiplayer wasnt good. I hope that is not true. -

and its hilarious guess what the guy in the comments said?
tbh the gameplay looks just like CoD with its Run n Gun on a really small map...
does this game have a lvl up system? like in Battlefield and CoD?
I originally saw multiplayer that probably explain why i felt Call of Duty.Last edited by a moderator: May 6, 2015 -
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Ah I see, MP *shrugs* not really my thing. And yes Nazi-Shock = Nazis + Bioshock
-
thats nothint like rtcw / et must be.
its something between cod and et:qw
bs
-
Argh, I hope the final version is better.Multiplayer looks crappy. It's like CoD:WaW with wierd Nazi theme. Not how remember early games. And I thought multiplayer was suppose to be the shining part of wolfenstein games?
-
No sign of it appearing on Steam or Direct2Drive launch week. Hope it comes there sometime soon! (and on discount)
-
anyone knows the system req? I havent seen any review of the game so far
-
Posted on the official Wolfy forum
Seems reasonable to me. -
The requirements seem rather low IMO. All I know is this brings back some great memories and I hope it's a good game.
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Hm, those Specs seem ridiculously low.....unless its a typo and that was actually the minimum req.
-
Well...considering that forum thread title reads " Wolfenstein PC Minimum Specs" I would guess they are minimum.
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
LOL, why didnt you say that in your post? I read your direct quote and was like what?
