So this gets unlocked pretty soon. Anyone excited for this? Will be a good game to tide us over till Watch Dogs gets released. Check out the early user review below. My Alienware 18 and desktop should run this game flawlessly.

Looks interesting. Will definitely grab when it's on sale

Cautiously pessimistic (if that makes sense). The last two were pretty mediocre and this one looks like a cookie-cutter FPS. Will be pleased if it's actually good, but definitely wouldnt do anything as dumb as dirty preordering.
...I have 3D around here on a 3.5 somewhere. Maybe I'll just see about reinstalling it -

what worries me is the fact that the latest nvidia beta driver has the sli profile for this game set to single gpu, i am hoping they dont screw this one up and not support Sli, i force enabled AF2
-
Looks pretty good from what I can see... glad to see it supposedly has a solid single player story. Honestly, I'm actually looking forward to this one more than Watch Dogs.

yep sli doesnt work at all, get 1 Fps with sli, with a single gpu i get between 1 and 15. Something is def wrong with the game and it isnt playable at all for me, even on low. I figured this would happen. Goodnight, i regret staying up till midnight for this !

Will finish downloading in 10 minutes. Then test it with a single 650m

1280x720p, no vsync and I've got 30-45fps and dips to 15-20fps at explosions. Singleplayer is playable for me on these settings and framerates. Some texture popping at quick 180° turns but these are inevitable because of the 1GB videocard and the game engine. Specs. in my signature.
edit.: I forgot to mention that I am playing on the medium preset which was selected by default. (the default resolution was 1600x900, but I turned it down) Later, I will definately play with the settings and use my old custom RAGE configs for 1GB vram. -
Playing great on the 860m... I've only played the first mission via Steam streaming to my Surface as I've been stuck in the office, but its streaming at 1080p 55-60fps on the default medium settings. Will tinker with settings when I get to my laptop, but curiosity was killing me ha after I let it download all night.
Opening mission was funSeems beefier systems or SLI rigs are having issues, and was afraid the game was DOA from some forum posts, but happy to report it does work.
-
Did Rage ever support SLI? If not, I don't think this game ever will either. If I recall, Carmack said it was due to GPU Transcoding in id Tech 5 and SLI would cause data read issues.

Polygon gave it a 9/10, and they're not afraid to give low scores when a game deserves it: Wolfenstein: The New Order review: machine gun | Polygonkillkenny1 likes this. -
Had a couple hours to play this afternoon, gotta say I'm very impressed! I didn't keep up with a lot of the info leading up to release, so wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but it's a great game. I'd definitely recommend for somebody looking for something different than a typical online shooter. Loving the level design/atmosphere so far, and the gun play feels absolutely spot on.
Performance wise, buttery smooth, occasional texture pop in on edge of screen when spinning around, but only noticeable when looking for it. Much better in this regard than RAGE, where it drove me nuts. -

Oh my, so many angry Austrians and Swiss people on the game forum/community page
.
Looks like another game I'll have to get through my Steam/NBR buddies.

Where do you expect me to get the money for the game and a new rig, and some free time?
Looks like there's someone who isn't happy about this game:

I don't get why basic graphical settings like AA and AF which make the game look a million times better aren't exposed at all and you have to force them through console commands. And the launch day issues and poor driver support from Nvidia and AMD and lack of multi-GPU support. Have they learned nothing at all from the Rage cluster****?

Also users with 7970m or 680m how is it running at 1920 x 1080?
Can you push max settings in graphics? -
Is it a good game? Does it need SLI to be fun. I liked rage and it was fun on much weaker hardware. I'm guessing a decent single GPU could run it just fine, unless all you care about is a tech demo instead of a fun game.

Benchmarks and lotsa people with pretty stout hardware complaining about less-than-stellar performance in this thread: Wolfenstein: The New Order; PC Performance Thread - NeoGAF -
Ok this one will be on my alienware system if I have space LoL -
Anyone with SLi/Crossfire forget this game no support ever.

Seems average :|
I have also read that this game is based on rage3D engine from way back in 2011.
Aiiiii Caramba played that for a few levels and got sick of the same terrain over and over again :|| -

How is the performance for you guys? You think 6970m will be able run it at all?
-
I can play it with an overclocked 640m on medium so why not?
-
Seeing game favor Radeon GPU's more than Geforce makes me think i should try it. -
I understand wanting to push the hardware you've bought to its fullest, ie SLI if that's your thing, but if the game doesn't need it to run well, why such hostility? Is ID Tech 5 the best engine, absolutely not, but I'm having a blast with the game on a mid range notebook GPU (860m Kepler).... the game world is vibrant and convincing, and the gunplay is fantastic. There are segments of all out flat out chaos yet plenty of segments with the option to go stealth or guns a blazing depending on play style.
I've played for 6+ hours and I only just started Chapter 3! Somebody finally made a good single player shooter again! -

game is awesome, no doubt. I just hate that it doesnt use my system to its fullest, i want to keep a locked 60 fps. With one overclocked gpu in my AW18 i have it maxed minus screen reflections and i get 40-60 fps.

Surprised how warmly this game is being received considering at this year's PAX most people were pretty "meh" about it at the time.
