    dual heatpipe and perf increase.

    7900GS cannot do smooth gaming @ 1920*1200

The Quadro isn't a gaming card it's specialized for CAD/3D, I doubt you'd get any better performance over the 7900gs.

edit: nevermind, didn't know the 2500M was a modified 7900GTX older Quadro's were awful at gaming but obviously it doesn't apply to this one.

Specialized for CAD doesn't mean its gaming performance is extremely compromised.

Check the mobile graphic card compare thread.
Interestingly, 1500M in 3DMark is slightly faster than 7900GS, and 2500M is slightly slower than 7900GTX. Slightly is well in error margin.

Of course 3DMark is not an accurate indicator for real game performance, but with 4 more ps, 1 more vs and higher frequency plus dualpipe, I don't know how you come with "I doubt you'd get any better performance over 7900gs"

P.S. well even with older Quadros, I had a Quadro 2, which is slower in games but that's just about 5%.

ok, so the quadro series are not really ment for games?
    rather for CAD?

Congrats on the acquisition you will love that card. I do. I is exactly like a 7900gtx performance wise, at least in my experience. I still play every game out at max settings at 1440x900 res. Just one thing you know it is a dual heat pipe and your e1705 only has 1. Your gonna have to made some mods to your chassis to use it to its fullest.
