I was just wondering if I would be able to run WoW very good with this notebook.
Game: World of Warcraft (with new xpac)
Spec: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152087
That is the whole notebook right there in which I plan to buy.
Pref: Max settings.

LOL. yes you will max it out ten fold.
you should be able to play it at any resolution maxed out completely. -
How long do you think this notebook would last me, for running WoW and for school purposes?
-
-
A very valuable lesson that is.
I recommend you fill out an FAQ -
Yes, i agree 100 percent haha, but just wondering how long the comp will be useful.
-
I did the FAQ, this laptop was a recommendation. Just double-checking the ability to run WoW.

This would be able to run WoW, but I just posted in another thread that I think Blizzard has broken the game with shadows, even on my laptop, in SLi or single card, the shadows make game performance 10x worse and shadows flicker and are very choppy.
Possibly, and I do not know this for a fact, but the ATi solution would be more optimized for them or display them correctly. But if they don't and you aren't getting good performance with the game, just turn down the Shadow Slider and watch it go back up to maxed out.
Also, if anyone has a fix so I can run the game fully without these crappy problems and major slowdowns from the shadows, please do share. -
Will this comp be good for just like basic stuff also, for school basically as long as I have the mircosoft office stuff.
-
Of course it will run office fine. This laptop should be able to handle any regular programs. It might not run FPS's at full settings, but then again you're just playing WoW, so this is a good deal for you.
