What do you think of the coming expansion of World of Warcraft?

What do you think of the changes, the places, the races/classes and the lore?

why do you keep making so many threads about mmo's? why not just make one that covers all of them?

Cause each of them has a different game so I don't want to mix the red and the blue, I prefer keeping them each alone so I avoid confusion and have it more organized. ;)

All of those games are MMO that doesn't mean they're exactly the same. :D

I can agree with you on that when I compare World of Warcraft with other games like Warhammer Online all though both are milking the players in some way. :)

I'll probably give it a spin once it comes out, again for a month or two.

I have a few 80's I want to play again, just not right now.

I stopped playing World of Warcraft a while ago but I just heard about this expansion.
I'll definitely give it a try although I'm not sure if I will keep playing the game. The expansion seems great and I can't see anything negative about it.

Let's face it; the original world and setting was the best. A re-imagining of the original world is hot and makes sense and more importantly will pull back players who are nostalgic and want to revisit the original world after the events of TBC, WotLK and how everything ties together.

I'm stoked just to be able to re-explore the original content from a flying mount and revisiting the original lands, heroic versions of old content and more.

Hopefully it will add some life to those of us who have played since the original release and help wash the taste away of WotlK.

I also can't wait for the Tauren Paladins. It's going to be great!
Blizzard never failed me with an update and I don't think they will this time either.

Well just my 2 cents on WoW. I quit the game a few months ago after a lot of off an on play. Just got to repetitive and boring for me. Then I heard about the xpack. I know the game could use some changes but wow. Some good....mostly bad. Another NGE in the works. And besides. I cant bring myself to buy an xpack every time the player base starts falling. 6mil and falling last I saw. $15 a month plus 2 xpacks already...... Does it end?

Heroic Deadmines? What is there not to love?

Prepare for Heroic Hogger in the next-next expansion.

I think the changes to the zones could be nice but I really don't like the new race/class combinations. I mean, it doesn't make sense for me to have Tauren paladins or shamanic dwarves walking around, it doesn't fit with the nature of the race itself.

So far everything that is released about Cataclysm seems to be really interesting except the lore. It feels a little sketchy and, in my opinion, I think they should have worked with Warcraft 4 before releasing this xpac. Then again, most of the people in WoW don't even know the lore.

Yeah, I have to agree on some of the new race/class combo stuff. I think Blizz is officially abandoning lore/racial stories to just give everybody everything - you want DK's, playable? Got it. Want Tauren pallies/dwarven shammies? Sure!

I have to admit I kind of liked it back when shammies/pallies were faction limited. Gave some difference to the sides. I know, it's probably easier to balance in a way, if both sides and all races have pretty much every class, but still.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I can see why they're doing it (to draw people in, and remove limits from whatever character a person wants to create), I just agree that it doesn't fit well with the lore in some cases.

I agree on that just like I've said on some other post. :(

Blizzard makes everything more powerful than it should be, they give every race or class things that make them so powerful and hybrid that they can do almost everything, they allow everyone to use every kind of mount (Can you ever imagine a Tauren on a Strider, if you're not playing World of Warcraft?), they allow every race/class to wear items that look like anything despite their type(Plate, mail, leather or cloth) like that purple technologic weapon that the Orc hunters get at end, they give the players abilities that makes it seem like they are Game Masters and in the end they run out of ideas and make Tauren Paladins or Dwarf Shamans.

This is the major issue I have with World of Warcraft but Blizzard promised a fixed lore for the new changes and have brought the Classical part of the game back to life and have brought some interesting and fancy things for us in the expansion so I'm glad about that.
