So much hate for the WOW!

I have played since the first beta came out. I find it a blast to play still!

You can even form real life relationships from there oddly enough. Friend met his fiancee on there. Not saying play to find a chick or anything, but real life friendships and such can be formed.

Honestly though, if my friends didn't still play I might lose interest. But when you have a core of buddies forming groups takes no time so no "waiting around" to get stuff done.

To each his own, I have tried other MMO's and they just don't do it for me.

Vanguard was......extremely buggy and quests were a pain in the arse to find stuff.

Warhammer online I really enjoyed the leveling, but the PVP was kind of slow.

Lord of the Rings had me for the longest out of the others I tried. But questing seemed so similar to WOW why bother when I can just play WOW?

Age of Conan I never tried, might be willing to sometime. Is it any good?

Then again when Diablo 3 comes out i'll probably dump Warcraft entirely, as the Diablo series is my favorite of all time :)

Anyways, IMO as long as YOU have fun playing it that is all that matters in the end.

Really what it comes down to is friends in game. I just had a 30min+ phone call with a friend from wow and now I want to go back more then anything. It will be tough to not log on today after work.

it is very tough not to go back..especially when you talk "know" the people you play the game with.
