I would take anything wargaming.net does with a caution... every game they made so far has been total buggy flop...just take massive assault or order of war for example... unpatched buggy mess.... and no one has even played order of war online even since day one..... just my 2 cents

 

Played the beta for a few days and researched up to the Panzer III before it started feeling like a grind. Also got tired of the SPGs being so accurate after my position gets revealed. Might look into it again some time if they add no artillery matches. Hopefully they'll also make it so that each side only has the same faction tanks.

Yeah there is a definate grind feel. I prefer to play with people i know. Its more fun then. Can't wait for clans to officailly become available.

Its free so you can try it by only wasting a few downloads. It needs a few balance tweaks and more maps and game types to make it mroe fun. But these will happen over the course of the beta.

 

I started playing again during the weekend and noticed that artillery's not OP anymore. Also lessened the grind feeling by playing with multiple tanks. If one's destroyed, I just leave the battle and start another one up. Lets me work on getting more tanks faster.

 

i've started playing today and its been nice... its a little slow but still nice

 

Shouldn't take you too long to get out of the loltraktor.

And you'll get a bit frustrated in your tier 3 having to scout for tier 7's but if your on about now there are plenty of players so you should get in some low tier battles.

Being able to quit is good. I have a couple of tanks that i am going through the tree's. Got a vk3000(P) going. Just need the second engine upgrade and the short 88 gun. About 4k xp off the t-34. I don't mind teh a-20 but its definately inferior to the leopard.

 

i've got panzer II and almost got a III.. thinking of getting a IV... can't decide but panzer 2 sucks.. anyways , how do you know which tier you are?
And i'm liking this game more and more

 

I went the medium route. panzer 3/4 then the vk3000(p) am quite enjoying it. i also have a panzer 4 though. but its less run and gun than the 3/4.

you can tell your tier by looking at the top right of the picture in the garage. little roman numeral there. Or by looking at the tech tree and couting how many branches down from the top you are.

 

I think it's not that they suck, but which matches you get tossed into. I never gave the Panzer II a fair shake, but I enjoyed the Panzer III mainly for the speed after upgrades and decent damage. When I got to IV alot of the matches I got put in made me miserable and couldn't wait to get out of it. Part of the reason for that may be that I didn't upgrade the turret so my survival is a little short, but I really want to get into a Tiger. I'm hoping it gets better now that I'm in a VK3601.

 

how can u get more gold? i've got some each day but i'm almost out.

 

you get 150 gold each day during the beta. once the game goes live you will have to pay to get gold. You can;t get gold any quicker currently.

If you save for 17 days and get the monthly premium you cvan have premium all the time. Its a bit of an investment initially but once you got it you will always have it and be able to run it plus use the other 13 days worth of gold to transfer xp or train crews etc.

 

Meh, I might like it if it had PvE content, but this just seems like it would get old just playing deathmatch constantly (and having to fight people that have better tanks than you).

 

I regret acquiring the VK4502P Ausfahrang B, I miss my Tiger II.

 

they are going to have different gameplay options in the future. PVE would be lame.

As for fighting people with better tanks.

I am up to tier 6. and for most matches, tier 4 - 6 i find myself in top 3 or 4 about 15% of the time. middle 7 about 60% of the time and bottom 5 about 25% of the time. i find it pretty good overall. 1 shot arty kills still annoy me though.

 

medium tanks have to be the most fun to play. i just got the 88 for my vk3001 (p) and its heavy enough to damage all tanks plus i have pretty good mobility. mobility is much better than health/armour for survival.

 

i agree with that.. i've got a Panzer III so i ususally die if i don't move.. getting pissed being owned by 88s and KV's... brb... come on Panzer IV... 75mm goodness

 

I have a StuG III on my new account, it is the most fun I've had in this game. I'm hoping the JgPz. IV will be as good.

 

i haven't tried the tank destroyers. the hetzer looks too crap to try =/ probably should give it a shot and use free xp to get to the stug.

 

i've got a hetzer and its better than the marder... i've got a panzer IV and its way better than III... got half the xp for the next heavy tiger prototype... i should get it today hopefully...

 

i've got a tiger I and still being owned...wth.. this game is just ruthless... any tips on how not to die? seriously becomming frustrating.. can't wait for king tiger... anyways any idea when beta's ending?
