I caught this crappy slide show on Yahoo showing some of the worse movie themed video games of all time. While I agree a bit with their selections, I'm sure there's lots more. I'm curious not just movie made to game titles, but any game that you wish you would have rather stuck a pen in your eye than play the game.
And worse yet, game that you paid decent money for that you should have spent on electro-shock therapy instead.

COD modern warfare...
a few of the PS1 $5 farm&fleet specials are close behind... -
I don't frequently buy games, but the worst game/expansion pack I've ever bought would be Battlefield; Bad Company 2 Vietnam. The worst piece of garbage put together by DICE. Those lazy developers at DICE basically sold me a bunch of new skins and recycled maps. Absolutely, nothing unique about it. My favorite part was them lazying out and giving both sides an RPG-7, so they wouldn't have to design a M72 LAW, but I guess that wouldn't matter since BOTH sides have access to the same exact freaking weapons. Anyways, that's my rant and disappointment, since I expected something as awesome as the original Battlefield: Vietnam.

Someone bought Iron Man for me when it was released, and it is absolutely terrible. Other terrible games include E.T. for the Atari 2600 (incomprehensible goal, strange controls) and, number one of all time Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. This game doesn't even work properly, you're meant to be racing other trucks and avoiding police, but the other trucks don't move and there are no police. Not to mention that you can go infinitely fast backward and climb vertical walls in your semi.
-
Wii Fit. I think thats the worst game hands down.
And no, I'm not fat. I'm actually underweight (Not by much) and proud
Just I can go to the gym and do Cardio if I really want to "get fit" -
Transformers.
God, what was I thinking. Luckily it had a bargain bin price tag
I'm pretty certain all movies turned into video games are crap. Of course, I'm sure there's a few exceptions, I just haven't seen one. -
I thought Terminator 3 sucked, as well as Knight Rider. Terrible games!
-
Worst game I played? Probably Pokemon. Don't know what version. I won a DSi through a contest. Never played pokemon or did any card game thing, figured I would see what it's all about.
Never figured it out. Most boring thing I've ever done. -
Has to be a tie between Halo 2 and Gears of War, Halo I had tried cause the button mashers claimed it was miles above Half Life, that was a big let down when I actually played it, worse yet was giving the series a second chance and playing Halo 2, really, really awful game, glad it was the last (hopefully) of the series to plague the PC. Gear of War is next, that game was just brutal awful, an entire game around one simple aspect of the FPS/TPS genre? Only Epic would have the stupidity and luck to pull this off. Was so terrible I still regret the $5 bargain bin price tag I paid for it.
-
Too many to mention but the highlight in my noggin brings me back to LAIR or as I like to refer to it as LIAR. That PS3 game was hyped to the brim. It did look good but not only did it suffer from framerate issues but the Dragons responded like a Semi Truck with deflated tires.
-
Homefront was pretty horrid, Glad i picked it up when blockbuster was having their closing out sale. Hawx 2 is pretty bad aswell.
-
Angry Birds. 'Nuff said.
Sure, QoS isn't anything special by today's standards. But back in 1997 Goldeneye was, well, golden.
-
I actually enjoyed Enter the Matrix on that list, sure the framerate and camera was terrible in places, but fun anyway. I enjoy each game I buy cause they are all fun in their own way.
Video games from movies do generally suck though, so I rarely buy them. some starwars are fun, and I enjoyed LOTR the third age a bit too. -
Mafia 2. The game was half finished and felt like a step back compared to GTA, etc. Not a bad game if you can get it for cheap, but I paid $60 for it...
-
Dragon Age: Origins and Final Fantasy XIV.
Those were both recent purchases too. But before that, I had really never been anywhere near disappointed to the extent that I was when I paid full price and played each of those games. Terrible. -
Batman: Arkham Asylum. I bought the game during a Steam sale and I honestly tried really, really hard to like the game, but after about two hours in I just could not get into the game.

MYST
So boring I nearly fell asleep just typing the name. -
COD BlackOPS
No offense to anyone, but I look for videogames with an enticing campaign. The storyline was seriously lacking in .. well everything. I found the game very disappointing; especially the graphics. Multiplayer is fair.
Mercenaries 2
Just terrible. They ruined it! The first one is still plenty of fun and IMO has better graphics. -
Animal crossing on the DS...what on earth was I thinking??? Should have gotten nintendodog instead
Also super mario 64 was another bad game, pretty much everything Nintendo is bad in my opinion. I'm not even a sony fanboy, but I dislike any game that look kiddy like so no kiddy console for me. -
I upgraded to the biggest house, and I pretty much collected every fossil, planted every fruit, fished every fish, caught every bug, bought every piece of furniture, tried every hairdo, and purchased every item in the game.
And I probably would have put in way more if some punk hadn't had the bright idea of lifting my DS from my swim bag one day at the pool. I was sad for a while. Then I felt liberated. Hahaha. -

World of Warcraft.
That game is build to be a money making machine and pull you into addiction. -

If I had to pick a single game, it would probably be Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. Fortunately, I only paid $4 for it, played and beat it in a weekend, and sold it for $5.

rainbow six lockdown because the game was not rainbow six, it was some kind of FPS with R6 characters.
or
Battlefield 2 Armored Fury and euro force. I paid for these add-ons, the were free a year later. -
Stormrise... Buggiest POS that was actually abandoned

Far Cry 2...horrible, horrible game. All I remember was running away from bad guys guys in Jeeps in areas I had just cleared with their Jeeps somehow being much faster than mine and malaria, oh the malaria...

Ford Racing for PS1.
-
Demigod...just terrible. Paid $50 for it too.

On consoles I never get even a PSX, I only purchased until SNES and SEGA Genesis generation of consoles, then I turned completely PC. I had A LOT of bad games on those consoles, because here in my country it was hard to get a game magazine, and there was A LOT of piracy, because REAL games costs an eye and a half.
So, I will only count PC games xD.
One game I regret buying is Hydrophobia, I never get into it. But, I only paid 3$, so that is good for a "tech preview" kind of game and didn't make a great #FAIL.
Dark Vengeance. I paid full price for it back then, waited about 2 weeks to arrive and was unplayable. A month later, a patch fixed it, but it was too late.
Tresspasser. An excelent idea (all that phisics stuff) but TOO buggy!. Another unplayable game.
Gunman Chronicles. Never played. Can't even get past the installation screen and there was ZERO answer from support. I don't know why it fails me. Maybe it was a good game.
One thing I REGRET is SOLD my FF7. OMG, it is SO expensive now! And the game is great! And my BG1. The collector's edition. #FAIL -
Enter The Matrix really was insanely bad.
Other awful games that I paid for? Warhammer Online, Black Ops (not really awful, just a huge letdown from MW2, which I really liked), Halo 3. -
Dawn of War II: Retrib.
First time I played a DoW game (I played the demo of one of them back then). It's basically a DPS match against certain units with a fail cover system to try and add some "tactics and strategy" to this turd pile. -
For me, I'm going to have to say COD: Black OPS PC on release (a pre-order) is the worst game I ever played (and thus maybe even the worst I ever paid for). That is because it was one HUGE bug of a game and one massive glitch fest for PC. It took Treyarch a good 1 month to make the thing even playable, and 3-4 months to work out the most blatant of glitches. Even today there are still minor glitches that tick me off. I still say that game did not receive nearly enough QA and was rushed to make the release deadline with a lot of things lacking (things they think are right to add with post-release updates). For Activision it's all about the money, and that game really showed me that. Then you throw in the ridiculously-priced DLC...I said it then and I'll say it again: I'm never buying another COD game.
Now the worse I ever paid for might have to be GRAW2 for PS3 and that's simply because I didn't like the game. I don't why in the world I bought it, but I guess I can take blame for that
.

Divinity 2 for me, probably.
The Ghostbusters video game wasn't too bad, either. Pretty entertaining.
Also... Jedi Knight, much? -
Like about a month ago, I'd say Homefront is the worst game I've ever bought and played.... but now it is TF2.... Why? because after it went F2P... all of the novice players not doing their job as specified in their class..... Have you ever seen a medic uber-ing the Engineer while the Heavy is right there beside him/her? Or Heavy running away while under fire when the medic is healing him? -.-;;; I won't be playing TF2 for some time now.... :X

I often kill only three people as a heavy and die because the medic is healing someone like an engineer. I don't play much anymore. -

KOTOR II and Dragon Age II... shockingly poor sequels, wish I'd never picked 'em up.
Tend to read reviews and soak up feedback before making a purchase so that's about it. -

I mainly played RPG;
The worst one was Dragon Age 2, it was awful and very disappointing squeal to an excellent game. -
i bought pro surfing game for ps3 because it was so cheap $19.99 (long time ago). basically should've just thrown the money in the street; would've been put to better use.
-
Lord of the Rings for the SNES. Just awful.
-
Any Final Fantasy game after 10, 13 was a bleeding mess. Dragon age 2 is also up their, cba to finish it even though I'm in the third act.

Assassins Creed ! Worst 3 quid i've ever spent
